Quite a lot of money but I'm willing to pay for the features I want. I didn't have to spend £300 on an X58 board. In-fact the first X58 board I got (Gigabyte UD5) was only £130 but I upgraded to the P6T6 and used the Gigabyte in my server.

With these new AMD boards it doesn't look like there is anything but budget boards I'd really like to have seen a board with six PCIe x16 slots if im honest.

Now that AMDs new platform is getting SLI and has competitive processors I'm interested in building a new AMD based rig.

that board is for a low cost and very balanced build. you can either make a whole pc for 500$, or throw in upper range llano and a 6900 gpu and have a great gaming machine.

i think they did just fine since they are covering all bases to sell more of one product, instead of having too many products to develop.

EDIT, do i spy displayport under the HDMI?

there is that white port next to the 24pin power, and it looks too small for IDE, but i havnt seen a floppy port in, o god, half a decade?

Yeah, it can't be a regular floppy, that's for sure, not enough pins.

Now if there are any newer floppy connectors with fewer pins I'd like to know that.

Never used a USB floppy, but are there any drawbacks with those compared to old school 34 pin?

Unless you are still on XP and have not transitioned over to Win 7 yet then a Floppy is still a must for Raid Drivers. Personally, I stayed on XP through the whole Vista Fiasco but since Windows 7 went Public I have transitioned my server over to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit which In my Opinion is their best O.S to date and I actually hate to say this but I am quite happy to get rid of my Floppy drive but I still have to External USB Floppy Drives just in case the occasion should arrise.

That's not really true. It's incredibly easy to slipstream drivers into the XP install media.

I'm 100% sure there WILL be ITX Llano for Gigabyte, pretty sure the others will have something aswell. As always, i don't think it'll be in the first release wave. mATX and ITX need more love!

Probably with Fusion Trinity and Bulldozer 1.5 Komodo in 2012. PCI 3.0 is more less a gimmick, USB3.0 and sata3.0 really benefits avrg use.

I thought the black and the white connectors by the 24 pin were those but didn't really paid attention and like Manicdan i haven't seen one in years. I wonder what they are then.

The white is LPT and the black is TPM, according to the source. This model is made for business use.
