eSATA option is the problem, not Intel ROM or that new ROM setting in the BIOS, you can set that anyway you want.
But main issue is eSATA setting so anyone that flashed already from yesterdays BIOS files can just wait at the splash screen until they can enter the BIOS, or wait until windows loads and then disable eSATA via BIOS or Touch BIOS.

So these have new RAID Rom (Which didn't matter), and a instruction on how to flash and make the hang stop once you flashed over to Z68X-UD7.

but it doesn't work with f3h bios whitch is still the best for us.
I think first we need a better BIOS with multi llc.

Also when switching to a different kit of memory, clearing cmos first doesnt help and the board wont boot. Have to start with a single stick to get it to boot. This is getting old very fast now, 3 boards all having the same issues.

The new touch bios looks nice but... could you please spend more time making the features advertised with this board work properly first? So we who spent our hard earned money to buy your product feel we are getting what we paid for. I am about to jump ship and move to another brand, so are a couple other long time loyal Gigabyte customers I know of.

There is another thread in XS by Leeghoofd about issues with turbo not working, I cant get turbo to work either. I have no need for it, but there are people that would like to run the board stock and they should be able to do so, and be able to count on all the features working the way they are suppose to. I dont really care if someones demo/loaner/review=free board works properly, my concern is for the people who paid for the board. But you would think Gigabyte would at least take the time to make sure a board sent out for a review would function the way it was designed to.
Got to agree here. I bought this board expecting great things. I've been too busy with life to use it much lately though. What amazes me is the lack of BIOS's to come out while I've been waiting to finish my build. Plus when I did get to bench it (used shipping F2 + all F3 betas) I just found myself frustrated. Trying to push the limits got me boot loops. It just seems a lot of my buddies with Asus and other boards have much more stable systems.

First I have to say this is one of the better P67 boards ,has lot of features runs like a regular user board , for a regular user it is well , but now for a flagship product , im really disappointing in gigabyte , Im a big fan of giga also but this whole bios situation has gotten a little old 5months later, giga actualy sending out beta bios as normal bios last time i was using. .
2nd thing bothering is simple llc 1 voltage droops like a @#$% for me to ride 1.440 on load , I have to ride my proc at 1.485 in windows on idle , this is b3 b2 every bios ive tried . .
Last but not lease the pci express slot are right on top of each other , and my 6970 cant breathe with me having a xfi card installed. .

This was a love and hate relationship giga ... Asus here i come obviously ,

Manually enabling the C States in the bios gives sort of proper turbo function again, still have to retest the UD5 B3. I just want it correctly implemented for stock users, no bios tricks for enhanced stabilty or compatibility. You just don't downclock a CPU to gain stability. If the turbo feature works on other boards, so should it also work on yours...

But performance of the Z68 UD3H seems not good compared to the old P67 boards... expected better of the new chipset

Indeed to me the lesser board of the complete lineup, P67 Pro or dlx far better choice (if it has to be an Asus board ofc)

These bios are killing me. I reverted back to F4 as that is the most stable for me. The F6 bios is very flakey. Brought back the boot loop again.

It is a love hate with this board. I have a chip that I know clocks very well but on this board and with these bios it's like pulling teeth.

I had the M4E and sent it back for this. I now question that. But for what I wanted to do it's the only game in town that works for me. And I mean this hardware wise. Running trifire with an Xonar in the PCIx1 slot all cooled on water. I couldn't use my Xonar and all 3 cards in the M4E.

F3H bios on LLC1 should be perfect stable mate, so weird that F4 is working for ya

yes LLC1 has big drop but well im stable 5GHz HT 1,47 set on bios dropping to LOAD 1,416 and IDLE 1,452 wich is OK for me

    cheers !
hope giga comes with a charming bios im really start to worry on all this

you read my mind, for the money you can not touch the Asus P67 Pro or the Deluxe, they overclock almost as well as the MIVE for ambient overclocking and are miles ahead of the Gigabyte in terms of bios support for all of their P67 offerings.

Its GBs board lol not mine, so yea i agree I want full performance at stock that should be given.

Anyways I have the UD3H right here, just haven't had time to put it under the bench, I am guess you are referring to 3d benches with Virtu? As i heard that virtu negatively impacts 3d performance in i-mode.

BTW anyone against changing the name of this thread to Z68/P67?

^ Thank you. I have had a lot of fun with the 460's and 470's.

The best way to get the highest score possible in 05 IMO other than OS tweaks is to get memory up to speed with lowest possible timings. With the hypers at 2150mhz+ cas7 7 7 GT1 and GT2 scores much higher. If I use my other kits I need 2200+ 7 10 7 to get similar score.

I give up on this board. I don't know if it's the ty bios, me or what. I know my chip can do x52+ but on this board i can't get it past x49 no matter what I try. I'm really at the point that I'm about to smash this POS. I have never been this frustrated before with a board. I just can't figure it out with this board.

curious what tweaks are you speaking of for XP?
