    Hi to all,

I was wondering if some of you guys (OC Nub, Andressergio, Lsdmeasap, Falkentyne) could show your bios settings, maybe voltages and cpu settings.

I have got to 5400+ but not truthfully knowing completely what I'm altering in the BIOS. I'm thinking that a few bios posts could reduce my head scratching.

Also, i have to go with the F3h bios. Seems best one to work with.

I honestly don't know what bios settings to give you.

I can say one of my 2600k's (the one that runs hotter cuz it has a lower vid) is 12 hours prime stable (tested three 12 hour loops) at 4.5 ghz 1.260v load (1.290v bios llc1), HT on, and no problems in games at all at 5 ghz 1.452v load (1.420v bios llc2). I'm just trying to find enough vcore in bios at 5 ghz to avoid idle bsod without going too high, since there's vrise from idle by about 0.024v from idle to max load. And I don't want to use LLC1, as I need like 1.490v in bios for 1.440-1.452v load. Don't know what else to give you. What's funny is the idle BSOD (last one was at 1.415v bios llc2) is always "Uncorrectable hardware error 0x124" while any prime or game bsod is usually 0x101 (secondary processor crash).

All other voltages are set at auto, besides pll overvoltage, which I need for higher than x49 (or about 4590 mhz is the wall with it disabled).

My other (first) 2600k that has a higher vid and runs cooler, needs a lot more vcore for 4.5 ghz (like 1.290v load instead of 1.260v) and like 1.470v+ for 5 ghz, yet this processor doesn't seem to idle BSOD with LLC2. Anyway I'm burning this chip to death at 5.3 ghz 1.584v load, to see just how much it can take (also, sort of a degradation test for my lower volt chip), at least I can play games at this speed.

Nothing helped even after power disconnect/battery removed overnight. This morning the board didn't want to start, no fans no anything, like there wasn't any power. Disconnected the 24-pin ATX connector, tested the PSU (green<->black shorting-OK) and started after that. But still identifies as Z68 board. Flashed it with F4 bios from Giga site (using my own modded F4) and that was the fix. Back to my modded F4 and all is good. Apparently my modded F4 bios doesn't override some chip arias or something...

Ooh, and why after no power/no battery overnight the power button and power LEDs are still on?!?! Even with 24-pin ATX disconnected... W(here)TF is power coming from!?!?!?

I have same problem like you, mobo totally without the power and after 15 min recover again.
Are you have your HD in AHCI/RAID or IDE in the BIOS?
I think Gigabyte added new RAID/AHCI ROM in the BIOS for Z68X.
Maybe this will be the reason.

    RAID...
And yes, Z68X have latest Intel RAID ROM v10.5.0.1034 for the SRT to work. My modded P67 bios has it too along with some other things. So that might be the issue. Otherwise it works great.

    Thanx.

I was just wondering what exact settings ppl were putting in to get their systems into the OS and benching. I'm not trying to pass the wall of my two cpus which I know is not possible but rather to see if I've input settings that could be holding me back.

I would be glad to help but I havent figured this bios out yet. Ill post settings if I ever get it stable enough to bench.

Trying high bclk again, scores arent great but it stays in windows for a couple easy beches. Boot from bios, started losing drives at this point, raised PCH to 1.18v and that seemed to fix the issue.

I have had issues on this B3 UD7, the B2 UD7, and theB3 UD5 with the reset switch, also clear cmos button not working properly, even removing the battery for a long cmos clear sometimes doesnt work. Sometimes the only way to get the systems to boot after a failed oc is by removing a stick of ram. Also when switching to a different kit of memory, clearing cmos first doesnt help and the board wont boot. Have to start with a single stick to get it to boot. This is getting old very fast now, 3 boards all having the same issues.

The new touch bios looks nice but... could you please spend more time making the features advertised with this board work properly first? So we who spent our hard earned money to buy your product feel we are getting what we paid for. I am about to jump ship and move to another brand, so are a couple other long time loyal Gigabyte customers I know of.

There is another thread in XS by Leeghoofd about issues with turbo not working, I cant get turbo to work either. I have no need for it, but there are people that would like to run the board stock and they should be able to do so, and be able to count on all the features working the way they are suppose to. I dont really care if someones demo/loaner/review=free board works properly, my concern is for the people who paid for the board. But you would think Gigabyte would at least take the time to make sure a board sent out for a review would function the way it was designed to.

well to be honest after using mine for a few days it went back in the box and is for sale.

it just seems buggy especially for a flagship product, very unlike prior Gigabyte products, all I know is that I have been nothing but happy with Asus's P67 offerings.

For the turbo boost... manually enable the C1E, C3/C6 support in BIOS rather leave it in "Auto". You set "auto" means u agree the BIOS to do the action for you and yes there's BIOS rule inside.

Lsdmeasap help me to solve the problem (and test).
eSATA option is the problem, not Intel ROM or that new ROM setting in the BIOS, you can set that anyway you want.
But main issue is eSATA setting so anyone that flashed already from yesterdays BIOS files can just wait at the splash screen until they can enter the BIOS, or wait until windows loads and then disable eSATA via BIOS or Touch BIOS.

So these have new RAID Rom (Which didn't matter), and a instruction on how to flash and make the hang stop once you flashed over to Z68X-UD7.
