Ok, thanks for the clarification!
Ok, thanks for the clarification!
you dont have to run the wires between the two pumps if you mount the top in the 5.25" bays. you can just have them come out from either side.
i had one of these tops, worked fine.
just sold it as i was using two DDCs on a loop with one radiator, supreme HF, classified block and thats it. not exactly a high restriction loop.
well I modded pump with better cooling that needs wire to be located between the two pumpspumps are glued, no way to take em out of socket!

On next pic you can see micro fractures
This is pic below pumps, cooling fins down into airflow of fan on radiators ->

Hi,
Some have been wondering whether 2 of these heatsinks - Koolance HTS-PMP400 - fit to the EK Dual DDC V2 Top - the answer is - yes, with a little help of a dremel.
Here's a way to do it:
1) One of the "sidepods" on each of the metal frame has to be removed:
2) Here's the frame after cutting of not needed bit:
Cut piece vs uncut:
3) Here's the clearance after cutting and mounting:
4) Here's the heatsinks on:
5) Finished product - looks quite nice - and definitely much better than my old plastic housing cut with a dremel
I'll post it to both threads where the questions were - so it will be easier to find the answer.

My Water Cooling Case Build (closed)
Man that looks sweet. I still don't think they need a heatsink, but they look bada** with them for sure.

Nice mod work!!!
Are you planning to mount via the top or create some feet extensions and decouple it?
Thanks Martin, this was easy
I had my doubts before buying but thought someone has to be first
It's sitting on the bottom of the case, mounted to the right side of the case via EK top - M4 eheim rubber insulated 2-side screws.
I've had to attach plate to the case first as unfortunately there were openings for the cables where I wanted the pumps.
Good think about the heatsinks - they seem to work perfectly.
Previously I've had 55C with open case and 60C with closed on the PCB.
Now it's 29C on the hottest spot of any pump (obviously I can't stick sensor inside now). Nice improvement considering more heat due to higher flow (240 to 405 l/h)
To make it more interesting, I've got 3rd DDC - in a single EK DDC V2 top connected directly - inlet to the Dual top outlet (by BP 2-side fitting).
I've finished bleeding/testing so tomorrow will make some photo session how it looks and post in my worklog.
It took surprisingly little space for a 3 pumps with tops & heatsinks.
BTW - and finally I have a decent flow (405 l/h)!![]()

Yeh, the only reason I got the heatsink for my upcoming loop was that it looks much better than the stock setup.
