Swirling bokeh, its caused by some fast lens. Most pronounced is probably on Nikkor 58mm f/1.2 (but its pretty much similar on 55mm and 50mm versions). If Im correct its usually only lens with older design (that really doesnt mean bad lens). Why.. hm, hard to say, probably lens design itself as it needs to suck a lot of light, maybe it bends light in different way than others.
