Meh, all that orange sure made it look like a gaming motherboard to me

My point was that there are a lot of people that this board would still appeal to for a normal overclocked rig (either on air on water), and simply having an extra 1x slot in the middle would have been nice for people wanting to use this board with 2 GPUs plus a soundcard on a 24/7 OCED rig. I would really prefer to have this board over an Asus if that was the case

why not just use one of the PCIe slots it has, you can plug in a PCIe 1x to a larger slot

You cant use two triple slot cards with a soundcard on this board, and even with 2 slot cards, having a third slot free after them greatly helps to reduce GPU temps.

3 slot spacing per graphics card plus a soundcard which doesnt reduce that spacing is the ideal layout that I want.

The very middle slot area, between the two middle orange slots is the most ideal place for a soundcard on such a slot layout with two graphics cards, as you can see with the R3E black edition which shows the included soundcard installed on that slot.

Oh boo. I've hit over 600 before with the glitch. 11GHz!

    Here's Sin's valid:

EDIT: Yep, he confirmed it was a glitch. He was just messing around and my hopefulness for this board made me believe it! Back to buying the RIIIE.

RIIIE purchased. I really wanted this board but got sick of waiting and the BCLK's I've seen have been far from impressive. Plus I miss ROG Connect...
