the last picture with the radiator is pretty much status quo, i added the harddrive and put on the lid, and it sat on my desk like that for about a year now.

Other projects are keeping me away atm, but i will definitely finish this one. the pump @full speed is driving me crazy (~50cm distance to my ears, and nothing in between)

@Dr.Joe: that's a pretty sweet build... was about to ask what case you're using, but then you posted your worklog link. will you be adding a graphics card in there? from the last pic, it seems that you could still (maybe a low profile one)...but then i guess you have to re-mod the backplate.

stevedawg, nice & simple I, personally, prefer 700D over 800D exactly because it has NO window - looks cleaner and allows you to make your own window of desired shape & size

BTW, is that an external HDD next to the case in the second pic ? If so, what brand/model ?

Thanks! Yeah, those 580's get pretty warm, but I think I'm gonna pull that fan though. I don't think I really need it.

And yes, the Tt is cooling the mosfets.

Intel i5 2500K @ 4.8-4.9GHz (will be getting a better 2500K or 2600K that'll do 5.1+ 24/7 on reasonable voltage)

8GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-2000 CAS 9 (running CAS 8 @ 1866MHz)

2 x AMD 6950 2GB flashed to 6970 BIOS @ 950MHz/1450MHz (will be working to get 1GHz now that I have sufficient cooling)

Cooler Master Silent Pro M 850w

60GB OCZ Vertex (original)
500GB Samsung storage for games (files are on a file server)

Cooling:
EK Supreme HF (with new "easy mount") CPU block
2 x EK 6970 FC nickel GPU blocks
Laing D5 with Bitspower delrin top and black casing mod
Primochill LRT black tubing (1/2" ID)
Swiftech MCR-420 quad 120mm radiator up top
Swiftech MCR-320 triple 120mm radiator up front
Lamptron FC2 fan controller running:
4 x Scythe Gentle Typhoon (AP15 - 1850rpm versions @ ~5v)
5 x Yate Loon "L" fans @ ~6v (Will all be Gentle Typhoons when Nidec starts shipping more 1850's out of Japan, slow due to the earthquakes over there)

I'm compensating for something! Actually, I just picked the biggest tube res on Performance-pcs and bought it :p Didn't know how huge it would be, but it was only a few more bucks than a smaller one
