This board is made for extreme ocing.
Show us LN2 results or show us nothing haha![]()
j/k
Nice start![]()
lol yea, just came in recently, so that will be next weekend, but yea will do. Of course i gotta show something for all types of ocers too.

We all know 990x ES are better OCers than retail
Hey Brian I like your CPU man LOL![]()
i got a i7930, will that do?lol i can't see it mattering, its just showing the board can OC, yea different CPu will hit different speeds, nothing new. ES chip none ES chip, max OC is max OC, i am not doing a CPU review were an ES chip's OC might matter.
BUT yes ES990x seems to OC higher.

yah man anything that doesn't have ES tacked onto from specific chips where everyone knows there is a big diff.
Example 990X ES, retails are not matching.
920ES though retails blast away so not a big deal.
Here's a nice example of what the board can do with a retail chip.
Top 5 for Core I7 920 32m pi.

not bad , my 930 isn't that great wants a lot of voltage on air for nothing lol, like 4.2ghz was best stable i could get underwater. ill see what i can do with DICE, but i don't see why chips matter. It snot like the fact is ES is hidden. I am not showing things other than teh board can OC.
When people use say 990X ES on a board to show its abilitities some users take it to much to heart that if they get that board there retail 990X will clock well to
They go get a retail 990X and this board and the chip sucks and No board no matter what its designed for can polish a turd.
Guess who goes up against the firing squad? The guy that showed them how great it was![]()

Not really, i don't go up against any firing squad, i state that no two chips will OC the same.
Plus Ocers know better than to expect the same results. If my 930 can do lets say 4.5ghz on air, then someone buy s a930 and doesn't get it, its not my problem.
I don't promise anyone any OCs.
The problem is not about different CPU = different OC, but I bet this board is same in overclocking capabilities as any other high-end mobo.
I mean same clocks will be reached on this OC "first eva oc board", on R3E, E760 and others high-end X58 boards, with difference few BCLK mhz.
But but but it says OC!
Heheh
time will tell if the board will be able to squeeze a bit more out of any given chip. I know what my 970- can do in my G1.Assassin. When i finally get this board up and running i will be able to compare directly. I am not an extreme overclocker though, so the real benefits of this board may only present themselves to those going sub zero. I will try some chilled water, but that is as extreme as i get these days....
Looking forward to your full review Sin, you are definitely one of the best reviewers here right now.
well a few blck make records, and a few more points do too, so if this boards is tuned for a certain type fo benchmark then it will do well. The issue though is price. If this is cheaper than the rest, then it'll be a winner.
BTW the OC buttons on the board, idk last time i used something like them was on a uGuru from ABIT if anyone remembers. It is very smooth and very cool, SO EASY to get a nice cpu-z shot with it.
I'm still waiting to see if this MBoard is the 'Dream' everyone's talking about![]()
Chew!!!! my 930 benching is going to take a day or so, i hope to see if i can get close to your 920 results, but i doubt i can. BUT look at this retail 980x, this is what you want to see, correct?
