It will scale pretty much linearly until a certain point where it will become less linear. DDR3-2000MHz ram is nice, but honestly quite unnecessary for daily use. If you compared normal tasks and time taken or FPS in your games, you'd see barely any difference between something like DDR3-1600 C6, DDR3-1800 C7 or DDR3-2000 C8. Even DDR3-2000 C7 is barely noticeable for normal use IMO and not worth the extra stress on the system.
I agree and disagree on this, with only online gaming, 2000mhz C7 is everything, especially with BC2, the Min and Max fps in the game are 10 - 20 fps different compared to running 1600mhz c6, The uncore plays a big role.

But at the end of the day, its only a 10 - 15 fps difference, might not make a difference for others, but some people can process alot more visual data than others, and im sure it would make a difference for them, Its like people saying that they cannot notice the difference between 60 hz monitor and 120hz, they just cant process the visual data needed to notice the difference between them, so they appear the same.
