It could be that AMD have some troubles (or should i say delayed?) with the 9x chipsets and don't want to delay the BD release? So removing 1 pin (the "blocker") from the cpu is a quick-fix?
And YES i know what JF-AMD has told you earlier in the forums, but hey, that was days ago, this kind of things can switch very fast if needed!
