My concern is my RAM; I have 6GB of G-Skill Trident memory, and apparently the D14 gets VERY close to the RAM. I know that the Tridents are too high to sit under the D14, but is it true that only the fan could be in conflict, and if I use the 2nd set of slots for the 3 RAM sticks, I should be fine?
The red slots is the correct ones to use. You can also raise the front fan up and offset it if you need to do so. That is the only thing about the r3e i have to make my fan fit compared to the r2e it was moved away from the cpu socket more.
