I use 32 meg Pi for testing new ram settings. The new Gskill F3-17000CL7 ram is awesome so far, last night I had it running 2256 at 6-9-6-24- 1T. It is indeed very fast ram and I would grab some by all means, I just bought another set. Will post up some new stuff later this morning.

The F3-17000CL7 Ripjaws simply rock. the 7-10-7-27 2G set can certainly run way faster at lower latency just like pt1T showed in his thread then its stated speed, Grab some guys this stuff reminds me of Team Extremes 1300 back in the day, super fast for sure.

Thanks, chilled water today, will post updates and rebench 32m on a proper 2d OS. I hope to get the 55x to work for me, I can go above 5500 with 54x but not with 55x.

All these 2600K screenshots with HT off don't mean squat.

Yeah, a motorcycle is faster than a car, doesn't mean I'd want to ride cross-country on one.

Thought I was stable after passing prime95 blend, linx + AVX. Got a BSOD running SPECapc for Lightwave 3D 9.6. (http://www.spec.org/gwpg/downloadindex.html)

One more 100th of a volt on the VCORE and now can pass that too.

    SPECapc LW render score: 451s

    Beat that guys !!!!

You'll need the trial version of Lightwave as well: http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/specapc/

When I get an error in prime it also always seems to be on the last core ?
Noticed that. The last core is always the one to fail.

Whats the official criteria for submitting stable OC's to this, "i5-2500K/2600K batch number and o/c results", thead?

Seems like you guys are all over the place with stability testing.

Should I just pick a test, any test

You just asked the question of the month. :-)

Most are saying linx isn't what it used to be, on the SB platform. I think 1hr small FFTs is the latest consensus, although TBH, I don't know. I know I can pass linx + avx with all mem selected, prime95 small FFTs and SPECapc LW, so I'm calling mine good at 4.8Ghz.

Ht is On on both because I wasn't in the mood to reboot and turn it off. But the difference would have been larger with HT off.

W7 + SP1 ( with AVX ofc ) - Linx in only 4threads, as you can check for the ~50% load in each core. Max core temp of 64ºC, with 135.25W pulled and note this was the 1st test I ran, so if the temps should be lowered should have happen in this one.

Same sh*t as above, but linx pulling 8threads, <120W beeing pulled out, max temp was 55ºC.
So theres at least a 15W difference.

Note: voltage was the same, difference in CPU-Z is due to normal vCore fluctuation
