Having more shaders isn't going to give more OC headroom. I feel GF104 is tweaked enough as it is, and the GTX 560 won't OC much higher than GTX 460, so maybe 950 MHz tops on air.
"No, you'll warrant no villain's exposition from me."
i dont agree.. if GF104 was tweaked enough nvidia wouldnt need new GF114.. even huge GF110 chips can reach above 950 MHz, GF114 should do better.. and factory overclocked cards will be around 900MHz which shows yields are good and gpu can handle high clocks better than GF104..
IMO GF114 can overclock like today's GF106 chips.. as GF110 chips on par with GF104 or better

there seem to be many people who view 1GHZ as the limit for GPU clocks... it's just another number like 800 or 900 I am willing to bet we will see a bunch of GTX 560ti's pass 1GHZ. might be the norm there will be a good number that will, we might even see cards hit that consistently on AIR. but if one thing can be said about fermi, it's that it OC's very well from the high end to the low end.

I dont know i think the 6800 pci-e might be up there as one of the best over clocking cards @ stock voltage and voltmod with air cooling
I think to be fair
6800 pcie 256mb card with some voltage cold air
referance cards @325 would go 520+ easy,thats a 60% overclock
460 1g with cold air and volts
ref.cards @675 and my results were about 1000 thats about 48%
sry for off topic
I really want to see how 560 clock myself,I cant want for a new toy![]()

that pcb looks nice and simple unlike its high end bigger brothers
GPU: 1200? 0.o
If this card is really as good as everyone says it is in terms of overclocking i cant wait to put these under dice/l2n, im guessing 1300+ core??
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
http://www.techpowerup.com/138799/Gi...-Detailed.htmlGigabyte is ready with a Super Overclock (SOC) variant of its upcoming GeForce GTX 560Ti graphics card, already. The GV-N560SO-1GI clocks at an impressive 1000 MHz core (vs. 822 MHz reference), and 1145 MHz (actual) or 4580 MHz (effective GDDR5) memory speed, with a CUDA core clock speed of 2000 MHz. Apart from these, the card features 384 CUDA cores, and 1 GB of memory over a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface.
The GV-N560SO-1GI uses Gigabyte's Ultra Durable VGA+ PCB, which is rich in copper and uses top-grade components. It is cooled by a larger version of WindForce 2X, which the company earlier used on older high-end GPUs. Gigabyte also run its own performance tests on the card. The card yielded X11515 points in 3DMark Vantage Extreme preset, and P24590 in Performance preset. The card is said to be at least made public, if not released to market, on the 25th of this month
EDIT for UP POST
X11515 points in 3DMark Vantage Extreme preset is on GTX570 stock / HD6970 @ 950 Mhz:

1ghz stock clocked, quite impressive! These are SC versions wonder how high these beasts can really clock .. The cooler actually looks like it would cool the card quite well..

1GHz is a really good OC to be a factory OC.

Yeah, we have to see bench on real games to conclude, but that's a really impressive score anyways.
That's the factory-OC, and it should have more headroom. In case, this will become a little OC-monster.
It will be interesting to see this @1.1GHzwith some voltage-tweaks.

Yep Lab501 use a I7 980@4ghz, they was using PhysX on the run for get this score with the 560, untill they use too a 4ghz I7 980 ...
CPU: - I7 4930K (EK Supremacy )
GPU: - 2x AMD HD7970 flashed GHZ bios ( EK Acetal Nickel Waterblock H2o)
Motherboard: Asus x79 Deluxe
RAM: G-skill Ares C9 2133mhz 16GB
Main Storage: Samsung 840EVO 500GB / 2x Crucial RealSSD C300 Raid0
Well, I hope so. I just got 22K using a 470 @ 700Mhz Core, 1800Mhz Memory, and a 4Ghz 760.
More off wack was the 17.5K GPU Score and a 60K CPU Score.
3D11 gives 4729 w/ same setup.
edit: and it seems 3d11's a bit better in terms of real gameplay evaluations...although will ever beat an MP fraps comparo.

The physical layout of the memory chips seems odd... Are all Fermis like this? It would make more sense to me to have 2 banks of 4 chips on the top and right side. Just from a timing and trace route standpoint. Maybe that rouge chip acts more like a L3 cache rather than being attached to the main mem buffer?

If this will be ~250, I'll probably pick one these up when it hits a minor sale.
E7200 @ 3.4 ; 7870 GHz 2 GB
Intel's atom is a terrible chip.
Yeah, the big question is the price in this round, both for this one, and rest of 560.
AMD has started at 275$, and that sounds pretty high to me, for this round.
It will be exiting to see nVidia's move, they can either go for a low-price and total kill, or try to match AMD's high-ambitions.
Now it's up to nVidia to dictate the price, and if they continue the same digressive mode of the past, we may see a good price on this.
I'm still crossing fingers for 199$, but that's gonn'a get tough after AMD's 275$.
The questions is still wide open and it will be really existing to see the price.

ahh well you may be right. but in recent memory nothing beats the GTX 460, also if i am not mistaken to get a 6800 to that speed it required a little more then moving a slider in software. (volt mod anyone?)
anyways that 1GHZ Gigabyte card is total beast. considering thats a 180MHZ bump on a factory OCed card and when you think about it, even the GTX 460 FTW (the highest factory clocked GTX 460 if I am not mistaken) was only a 175MHZ jump over stock...
could it be possible that this card clocks even better then the GTX 460???
