That RAM spec is 2.30v. Try there 1st and set latch to auto and multi to 2.4. Not sure if 1082 is possible, YMMV. Static read can come down from 11 to 8 or 9 also.

thats what has me stumped. on this board i have no setting for 2.3v
2.20,2.22,2.24,2.26,2.28 then 2.30 gets into the flashing red numbers.
i can and have had it at 2.4v and it still does the same thing
when i get home i will set the latch back to auto, change the multi to 2.40B and take the Static read down to 9 from 11 and see what happens.

Don't do 2.40 vDimm, 2.30-2.35v like sticker on ram says should be more than enough. My Hypers in my sig actually wouldn't boot until I lowered my vDimm to 2.20-2.24v. You're also running 4GB instead of 2GB now, so try upping your MHC to 1.30-1.34.

well ive tried everything that has been suggested and nothing has worked. the only thing that i have different now that has increased some mem speed is taking the static read down to 9 from 11. and im running at 400 strap 2.00D mem at 902mhz
useing everest to benchmark the mem i went from 67.5ns to 63.0ns on the latency benchmark.
not haveing the option to choose 2.30v i think might be my problem if i over volt it up to 2.4v it wont post. if i under volt it it wont post. i have it at 2.20v now and its fine. but im not running 1066 either. looks like i just waisted $99. i could have gotten some good ddr2 800 2x2gb kit and oc'd them to 902...lol

Why can't you choose 2.30v? The flashing red is just a warning...if your memory is rated to run at that voltage, then set it there. Might also try putting your tRFC at Auto for now as well. I still think it won't run at 1082 MHz, so you might have to lower your FSB down from 451 to 444. Also, are you getting BSOD when trying all this or beeps when booting?

there isnt a option to choose the 2.3v ill take a pic of bios and show you what im looking at.
no, im not getting the BSOD it wont go past the gigabyte logo. it will just run a loop going to the logo and then after about 3-4 loops it will let me into the bios.

ok i feel like a total idiot now.
yes i do have a 2.30v setting yes it flashes red when picking it.
for some dumb reason i was thinking the setting i needed was 2.23v NOT i need 2.3v so with me only choosing 2.20v or 2.24v i wasnt giving it enough juice.man am i stupid.
but with the OC of the CPU at 3.83ghz it wouldnt post with the FSB of 451 i did have to drop my CPU OC down to 3.77ghz yes the 444 fsb giving me the mem running at 1066 plus i did only give it 2.28v i didnt put it up to 2.3v seeing i backed the FSB down.
this is where im at now.
so i guess to get the mem to run at spec i will have to sacrafice some CPU OC.. that blows.well thats if i want to keep the 4gbs of mem.

Well, that's a good start! Putting that Static Read (PL) back at 8 will help and also run at 5-5-5-15 (not 18). Then start creaping you fsb up 1 mhz at a time to see where your wall is at. Good luck!

well its running so fine right now i'd hate to disturb it...lol i will change the Static read to 8 and then the timings to 5-5-5-15 and try and slowly bmp up the FSB maybe to get at least back to 3.80ghz i know 3.77-3.83 isnt much, more or less a ego thing..lol but i do love my HEMI...

ok now a question about the mem size and 32bit OS. i know with the 32 bit OS windows only see's 3.5gbs i can deal with that. but when i try to run IBT it wont let me do it at max mem i get this error
if i choose to use only 1700 it will pass just fine. is it because im not running 64bit OS as to why IBT fails trying to use all 4 gb?
i have both version's 32 and 64 bit just didnt install the 64bit. i do have a 2tb hdd coming today. i might install the 64bit on one of my smaller drives and give it a whirl.

Hey guys,
I know I haven't been here for awhile (long enough that I really had to update the specs in my sig) but my UD3P 1.0 has been soldiering on so well, I didn't have a whole log of questions.
However, I just noticed there's an F11d beta bios floating out there (it appears to be from August 2010) for the 1.0/1.1 boards. Is anyone running it, and does anyone know the changes from the final F10 release?

The CPU-Z reads different than my bios cpu frequency???? Which one is correct? I have bios 11c and CPU-Z version 1.56.
I am a total noobe even though I have been reading a lot on this site for a few years.
Any advice greatly appreciated. I copied the following setup in the bios from radaja's recommendation. THANKS!!!!

I just got my EP45T-UD3P board working again and it feels sooo good.
A couple of people may or may not recognise me from this thread, I was overclocking an X3360 a little while back and got it to 4.6Ghz after which the board died. I found a few damaged caps (don't let curious cats near your gear) and it's finally working again.
I haven't got anything super to play with yet, but it's a start to get back into 775 benching and it's still alot of fun.
EP45T-UD3P
E4600 2.4Ghz stock, had it up to 3.8Ghz so far @ 1.68v. The voltage doesn't worry me too much as I'm keeping temps down and it's 65nm so it can handle a little tough love. (only for short benching periods)
4GB Gskill 2000mhz 9-10-9-27 1.65v
Nvidia GT210
Corsair TX650
The only real problem I seem to be having right now is setting the memory up properly. I've lost my way around the MCH straps and am fumbling around trying to get something to work. All I've tried so far has failed, and sent the board into a power loop with the ram set at 8-8-8-24 1280mhz, which isn't really pushing it.
What's a good divider to try for the board?
Anyway, it's been lots of fun overclocking 775 once again, and with some A/C loving, I may just be able to get the E4600 to 4Ghz.
Oooo...nice oneIs 1.58V Mch core safe on air?
I'm trying to stabilize my Q9650 @ 4.365 - 4.401 with 8Gb of G Skill 9600 DDR2 Tridents with TRFC 50, Performance level 8 and 2.40B memory multiplier.
System just freezes up during 6Gb Prime 95 or Linx runs.

Try setting 1) to 50ps and 2) to Standard.
Set CPU Termination to 1.2, then set CPU Reference to 0.76, then set
your MCH Reference to 0.800 and finally raise your CPU Termination to 1.34V. You'll notice that CPU Reference and MCH Reference will change automatically.
Yes but you have to carefully remove the gigabyte cover from the northbridge because it is blocking the air stream and put 70mm fan on it.

Thanks. I upped TRFC to 58 and left everything else same at 4.356 and so far 10 linx passed @ 6.6Gb no problem.
Will try your suggestions if Linx freezes again.
I have tons of fans in my case ( 6 intake, 4 exhaust, 3 on cpu heatsink ), you think I can get by with just removing the Gigabyte cover?

I installed two ATI 6950 cards yesterday. And this has created a raise in my chipset temperature (pretty sure this reading it from the southbridge). The temps range from 38C idle to up to 58C while gaming. Is the 58C too high?
