I need some assistance. Aside from the huge decrease in power usage, what is so special about Sandy Bridge?
I may be "out dated" with my socket 775 X3330 and ddr2 but I just averaged out my last 90 days of WCG points and am doing 18,400 WCG ppd. I'm currently running at 3.4ghz (2 weeks ago it was 3.8ghz but I moved to 8gb ram and had to drop clock). Even at 3.8ghz I never saw a load temp over 45C using a TRUE with 63CFM Scythe s-flex and 68F room closed case. I realize going from 4 threads to 8 isn't going to be double the output but I would hope to see more than you were getting.
Now I just need a dual cpu board/version so I could keep my current power usage and triple my output
