What I don't understand is how the RAM speeds fit with the unlocked multiplier and how this plays out.

Is it worth getting the 2000mhz kit over a 1600mhz kit? Or should I get a 8gb kit (2x4gb)?
I'd buy a 1600kit. 6gb or 8gb depending on what you use, Either way seems like Sandybridge memory benches absoulately kick butt!!

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Fugger took it down at the request of a manufacturer!

Should be sorted & back up shortly so nothing lost.

Thoughts on ram anyone? Aiming for 4-4.5Ghz 24/7

    $163 - F3-12800CL7D-8GBRH - 7-8-7-24

    $163 - CMP8GX3M2A1600C9 - 9-9-9-24

Leaning towards the GSkill at this point only because of the timings.

    Prices are in $CAD

@sin0822, This board was my first pic for P67, but looking at the layout, the top pcie x1 slot is useless for my sound card. If I use the bottom pcie slot for the sound card, and run sli/cf, both gpu's wont run at x16, or am I wrong on this? I like the new look and have always been happy with gigabyte boards. But to go along with the new look, a new/better layout would have been nice.

I wish nah my cousin is also doing an upgrade as well mid feb and is set on pci-e ssd. I would be lucky to squeeze a 64gb 2.5 ssd out of my budget let alone a $1000+ pci-e monster

Well, I'm quite happy with what UPS unexpectedly dropped off today...

    A box.

    With awesome inside.

This will go nicely with the 2600K I managed to pick up on Boxing Day as mentioned here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...9&postcount=61

Now I just need to pick up my case from FedEx, order the watercooling gear for it, and I'll have a kickass system.

In the meantime, I suppose I could throw it all into a Sonata III I have lying around and take it for a spin.
