Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Thoughts on ram anyone? Aiming for 4-4.5Ghz 24/7

Leaning towards the GSkill at this point only because of the timings.
Prices are in $CAD

I woudl go g.skill. Timings make a nice difference on these systems plus alows you to push 1866.

@sin0822, This board was my first pic for P67, but looking at the layout, the top pcie x1 slot is useless for my sound card. If I use the bottom pcie slot for the sound card, and run sli/cf, both gpu's wont run at x16, or am I wrong on this? I like the new look and have always been happy with gigabyte boards. But to go along with the new look, a new/better layout would have been nice.
yes crossfire and pci express sound card are a problem, wish they would sort the spacing out !

Do motherboards have to have anything special about them to boot from the pci-e slot? Will these and other P67 boards boot off a pci-e ssd?

I wish nah my cousin is also doing an upgrade as well mid feb and is set on pci-e ssd. I would be lucky to squeeze a 64gb 2.5 ssd out of my budget let alone a $1000+ pci-e monster![]()

Well, I'm quite happy with what UPS unexpectedly dropped off today...
A box.
With awesome inside.
This will go nicely with the 2600K I managed to pick up on Boxing Day as mentioned here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...9&postcount=61
Now I just need to pick up my case from FedEx, order the watercooling gear for it, and I'll have a kickass system.
In the meantime, I suppose I could throw it all into a Sonata III I have lying around and take it for a spin.
