If these were the only two titles tested you are 100% right, but there were loads of other titles tested not ? Plus if you look at eg LP2 results, the 69xx series perform better than the 58 and 68xx series... so good progress there...

If you add the remark that AMD didn't want you to test these particular titles as performance, it should be clear enough that their cards don't shine (yet) with these titles... it always has been that some games run better on another brand, while others run ultra smooth on your hardware...
