This really deserves to come to fruition...I read the whole thread and things were really moving along and looking good until some months ago. I'm kinda disappointed now. From what I understand, a lack of confidence or interest has stalled this project.
I know what the "obsession for 6 months" thing is like, I'm a creative professional and sometimes I really get into the work I'm doing for a while and love working on it, then I suddenly lose interest or start to dislike it the more I have to deal with it. Some days I love the stuff I've made, and other days I see nothing but flaws and amateur mistakes, I can't really explain the mental states necessary for the love/hate, it just happens.
You can love the work again, give it a shot, it may not come immediately, but you can find the energy to finish what you started if you keep trying.
