Well after all that my H20-220 Edge kit arrived today & you know what...
The rad. already has fans mounted!!!! *face-palm* LOL
I don't know how good they are....
But I'm sure they'll be fine until the AP-15's become more readily available.
Thanks again everyone for your help!

@jalyst: If you are still interested on the AP-15 there it is, http://www.thekoolroom.com/index.php...product_id=461
Alas they only have one left*, will just make do with the ones that came with my kit.
When they're commonplace in Australia again, i'll buy, thanks.
*confirmed with their sales few days ago
They should have incorporated into the website something to see how many units they have in stock. Tedious.
Probably somebody returned that one and now they are trying to sell it to another customer.i thought they went out of stock weeks ago?

Finally in oz, think they were a few wks ago, but i only got a reminder ph call from my local retailer today that some ap-15's are ready for me to pick-up.
They were annoyed because apparently they've had them for "many weeks", I told them that's not my problem, you were going to let me know!
I have 6 of these but have recently noticed a crackling from one after only 1 month of use, so not sure of long term reliability at the moment. Having said this they certainly are quiet for the amount of air they push...
Depends on where you want to put them. I use AP-14's on bottom intake, mid-case (pulls from an area in the front where no fan can go; pushes air to the mb chipset and past the vidcard) and heatsink. I use AP-12's (800 rpm) for front intake on both my machine and my daughter's machine. The AP-13 pushes more air, but you can hear it a little bit if it's in the front of the case. But then, my case sits on the desk in front of me and my right ear is 20 inches (50cm) from the face of the front fan. If your case is on the floor you could easily tolerate an AP-14.

I thought the slipstreams were better suited as case fans, and the GT better as rad/hs fans? (due to static pressure differences etc)

^ Oh I see, I thought the slipstream actually had better characteristics as a case fan.
Or would you say it is about the same as a GT at 1000rpm or less?
If the GT is def. better, then I'll prolly get a bunch of AP-14's to be used as case fans.
That's if I'm not happy with the fans (if any) that come with my case.
Not the same. My daughter and I compared the 800 rpm Slip Stream with the 800 rpm GT. She chose the GT, and I agreed with her.
GT's are generally better that other 25mm fans. You may need to go with slightly higher rpm's though. You can't trust cfm data from companies that sell to consumers, but companies that sell to industrial customers have to be honest with their specs: if they're off, the industrial company knows - it can measure the fan's characteristics.
Check out this thread to see where I compared a bunch of fans. I couldn't measure cfm directly, but you can get an idea of how fans compare.

I have 5 AP-15s and am looking to get more. I simply love them. Before them I had 8 Scythe S-FLex G fans, those things are LOUD! They move the air but they are just loud. And they are horrible as intake fans unless you space them at least a cm from the grate, otherwise they get even louder!
I cannot make the GTs louder no matter how hard I try haha. And I had them push/pull on a high fpi rad

Thanks Ehume,
You answered this for me already, but thanks for doing so again!
*update*
This is the post where someone explained why slipstreams are better as case fans.

I just stumbled across it, it was actually miahallen, who knows his stuff.

How would an SFLEX E 1200 RPM compare to one of the GT AP-15's? Also...where in the US can I get one of these?![]()

Are you wanting to get the SFlex or the GT? You'll need to search around for the GTs, but should be able to find the SFlex's at a number of places - even have them at Amazon.
Have you checked out the thread by Martin on 120mm fan testing (check the info/guide sticky at the top of the first page)?
The GT15 is a slightly more powerful fan than the SFLEX-E. It will move more air through a radiator at max settings - and will be somewhat quieter. The GT13 or 14 are closer comparisons for the SFLEX-E fan.
I have both of those fans, the S Flex are a good balance between noise and airflow but the GT AP15 wins easily. It has a far better static pressure.

can't find the ap-15's anywhere right now, seems like it's been weeks since they were in stock, I needed radiator fans so I went for the ap-14's
Skinnee's estimated delta T between 1400 and 1800 rpm for my radiator is less than a degree, I think I'll be okay![]()
