Here's my result with my 580 @ 800/4100... was hoping for a bit better, but this is ok for now:

I notice Olivon has a newer BIOS than me... Hey man do you think you could send that to me?

Napalm, how are you adjusting vGPU? Did you use nibit0r to adjust vGPU in the card's BIOS?

2.0 distance is what kills the 6850 in this bench. One @ 945|1150 only does 15 avg, 6 min at the requested settings. If you keep the first two settings at 2.0 but reduce distance to .50 the 6850s numbers jump to 27.9 avg, 14.5min.

My 5870 only got 9.4fps LOL but with draw at 65 I can get like 35fps.

    Results thus far:

EDIT: Check my post later in the thread, I've replaced the chart with one that has CPU and GPU info.

I posted a short article about this on the NV News front page, and made a discussion thread.

Thanks for your results everyone. I know it started here, but I wouldn't have gotten the idea to invite other communities to this challenge if this didn't start here.

    New chart:

NOTE: First place holder CraptacularOne told me via PM that he used optimized low image quality LOD and had texture filtering quality set to the lowest setting. Though I can't say this is really "cheating", it is highly likely that almost everyone else used either the Quality or Highest Quality setting.

This is why a chart of people "scores" for anything other than vantage/06/05 etc is pretty much useless. If your table consist of people running different settings with different tweaks then really the end result means nothing

In all my time benching one thing which has popped up time and time again (and is hard to deny) is that in order to have any type of consistent and accurate results ALL participants must use exactly the same settings.

There are too many "variables" in this benchmark. There's no way to ensure users are actually setting tess-distance to 2.0 for example. Going by some of the scores I'd hazard a guess that atleast some users aren't.

So I thought I'd give my modded 8400GS a try.

Run from RAMDisk, tweaked LOD, added some special bing-bong juice and a modified driver, spoke nicely to it and cheered it the whole way through and got this....

.........which I'm not really happy with since I was encoding a blue-ray movie and playing BC2-Nelson bay at the time
