Can you do me a favor, when you get a nice OC will you please post your BIOS template? I'm currently running mine at 4.2Mhz for a 24/7 cruncher, but when I get my farm settled (5 other mahcine for WCG) out want to see what she will do and I'll admit I'm not the best at OCing and actually very poor at it when it comes to the memory.This 980X "feels" better then 970, yet I just started OC'ing it. IMC is of identical quality as my Xeon W3540, and that is a good thing, cause it needs only 1.4125V VTT in BIOS (~1.4V according to Everest & DMM) for UnCore @ 4000MHz. Concerning raw speed it needs less vCore then 970 but more then W3540 for 24/7 use (Folding@home). For benching it needs lowest voltages I ever seen, but I still didn't test it much, so I'll see how it scales.
No problem, I'll send you couple of templates, as soon as I get a grip of things a little. Remind me by PM in a week or so if I forget, as I'm preoccupied with work. Don't hesitate to remind me, I am willing to share setting, but I'm forgetful.

My chip can run 3D06 & Vantage over 6.0GHz under LN2 .
Some Japanese OCer use same batch CPU, there are very nice same as my chip.
I hope you enjoy new chip.I bought it as "a good batch" and it does "feel" good. Passed 3DM06 @ 4.6GHZ 1.4V vCore w/ HT ON, but failed CPU test in Vantage. It was after less then hour of testing, so I hope to see some even better results on water when I get to know it better. Now testing some 24/7 settings, but will be benching for the weekend, probably in the cold of the night.
Now when I got Extreme CPU, I'm thinking of going subzero.
