Would a HC 300(1/4 hp) version be enough? after all the hc 500 consumes a lot of energy and if it is not really necessary it would be wasted.
I would have to cool a sr-2 mb , 2 xeon x5650 @4,2 ghz 1.4v, and one or two gtx 480.
I used to have the HC500 with 965x at 4.4+Evga Classified E759 & GTX280 OC SLI, it could not cope with the load during stress tests with water set to 14 ºC, it slowly rose to 25ºC..26...

I replaced it with HC1000 & changed gas from R134 to R406, now it keeps water temps of 14-15 ºC (set to 14 to avoid condensation) with 975x + Evga Classified + 3way SLI EVGA GTX480 but....

The fan is extremely noisy (unbearable) & the room temp heats up to 30 ºC in less than an hour of running it. AC is required or at least very good ventilation & headphones...

I'm trying to replace the fan with some other type or replace it with 4 smaller ones in grid array
