well tried it and no change...
    thanks anyways...

Interesting, but how does this x21-BIOS-set works in real life?

I had a chance to try it with my X5650 B1 ES (BIOS F7x). I could set it to x21 in BIOS but it ended up as x20 in w7 anyways. I didn't have much time to play with it, because I had to borrow RAM from may main-rig. I will hopefully get some RAM soon and will try to get my good old UD7 up and running again. So I'm really interested to find out how this works actually. You got a link or more explanation on this?.

has their been a newer update yet from f7x?

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

    hello there guy's

I'm new here and my first post. So I've got an UD7 rev1.0 to, with a 930.
And I have bin some sort of ginny pig, because my Saitek cyborg keyboard
has issiues whit the new F7 bios. and for me its just horrible whit overclocking.
It can't even do the same as F6 whit more vcore on 200x20 4ghz.
So why dit they f*ck up the bios, because the main think is OCing whit this board.

Because the problem whit my bios/keyboard i have tested several F7 bios.
F7w, x, y, final and a bunch of customs. And not one of them overclocks as well as the F6 bios.

so stay with F6. For me F6 is best bios. I've tried all F7 beta but i coudnt run stable 4200mhz on any f7!

If u have stable pc on f6 then dont change anything

Each of my memory sticks passes the memtest with 6-8-6-21-CR1 timings on the first two white slots while on the third white slot there is no way to boot with the same timings: the post sequence stops on CODE 26 and the system reboots with conservative settings. The third white slot works perfectly with F6 bios, so I think it is a bios issue. Has anyone got a similar problem?

    My config:

    CPU: i7 950 @ 4.0GHz
    Motherboard: UD7 rev.1 with F7w bios
    Memory: G.SKILL Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD 1.6V (@ 1.64V)
Same issue with the final f7 bios.

Did you disable Turbo when you set x21? You have to do that, or enable Turbo and set 20

Buy a new motherboard first, and sell off the RMAed mobo when it arrives

Theres the MSI XPower, dunno if thats good enough for you but i consider it bang for bucks Or the Rampage III Extreme, though i won't really classify that as bang for bucks. EVGA classified good for OC, but lacks U3S6 and is expensive.

Otherwise, theres always the UD9 you can play with but definitely overpriced

I think Gigabyte changed the power delivery to the same as the UD9 (uprated?)..............maybe

Supposed to help with extreme ocking. So, if you've got the LN2 handy
    Sig always changing .

Not too sure about that But they reduced the power phase from 24 to 16 on the current board
