The case that will be modded is Cooler Master 690 PURE Black Window Edition. Very sleek stock look already, but still so much to improve
To-do list:
- Remove the bottom fan grill (one below PSU)
- Custom front mesh panel
- Custom roof mesh panel
- Water temp display integrated to the front panel
- Remove all the stock fans
- Sleeve all the cables
- Remove the HDD-cage
- Build "flowing" HDD-brackets
- Cover the insides (including fan spots) with insulation mats
- Hole for the fillport on top
- Etc...
So basically this will be all-internal cpu-only loop with the 280 rad on the top of the case. I'll try to keep the lights in this system modest; only one 30cm UV cathode and maybe one 10cm red one. Next spring I might add second loop to the case for the GPU, I have all the front panel area cleared for that. For now my goal is to build system that is silent yet has good cooling performance and last but not least, is still somewhat portable so I can take it easily to lanparties.
First part is here, and I gotta say I really like this one.
It's quite larger than the 240's, and I hope it has enough cooling capasity for overclocked i7, what do you guys think?![]()

Anyway I'm more than pleased with the block itself, and I'm eagerly waiting to get it on duty
