closest computer shop i know of is about hour drive away.

edit. highest i ever put the ram voltage was 1.66v, spec on the ram is 1.65, however bios settings doesn't have that, only 1.64 & 1.66

understand, and a bit of a pain no access to another chip but thats the only thing to test before Rma the Mb, imop mate it is the Cpu as the Ud7 would be harder to Fry over the Cpu, thats why i think the Mem controller on chip has gone Waffle up.

running the mem at 1.66 in bios if fine, as this what i do, Everest Reports as 1.65V , never could understand why the bios could Just not put the 1.65 setting in bios think this there just to Ask why

Sorry for late reply havent been on here much lately.. This usually happens when u own a razer mouse and a g19 or g15 keyboard, new bios update fixes this or just unplug ur mouse or keyboard till windows is booted up

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

    @ Mr MadHacker,
You may have already tried all of this but I'll list it all anyway.
Try booting using the "safe" bios settings.
If no go - then try booting with everything turned off in the bios with minimum H/W population of mobo.
If still no go - then its the swap the H/W game assuming you have extras - cables, HDD, memory, keyboard, power supply, ...

it doesn't pass memory test (C1) with no video card, Keyboard or mouse.
tried different powersupply, as well as different ram.

I had a Razer Mouse and a G110 .. Switched the mouse for G9x but with the recent bios updates it got better. Happends from time to time but before it happend like 2 times a day. Now it's like once a week.

But I Still think 1.35V for 4 GHz on HT is still crazy much when others have 1.28 and they run Unfair

Latest when they are running out of letters after the 'F7'
    Sorry couldn't resist.

Seriously, noone really knows what goals they intended to meet with F7....but it has been quite a while. And it still doesn't work as well for me as F6 on a D0 920.

Mr. MadHacker - One last idea - did you take everything apart - and I mean everything including cpu from the socket and mobo battery from the mobo and let it set for a day or so? Stray capacitance?

I did everythign what you said but not for a day (1 hour), nor did i remove the CPU from the socket.
I'll do that and let it sit and check it tomorrow, was planning to go to computer shop on friday to have them test out the board so it will give me some time to test.

Its a long shot but it worked for me once before on this very board (battery out).
Others have reported - taking the cpu out and letting it sit has fixed the no boot problem.
Seems like sucessful recoveries have been from subzero oc gone bad (that was the situation for me ).

It took a while for Gigabyte to release an official F7 BIOS for the UD7 rev. 1 board, but I applaud them for providing us frequent BIOS updates.

    hey everyone
a friend of mine wants to use 24GB of ram on his UD7 and i was wondering what ram should he go for ?
is there is anyone here already running that much ram ?
His cpu is a 930 overclocked to 3.36 ghz with 6 gigs of corsair dominators which he will either sell or use in another machine.
I saw corsair , kingston and gskill both have 24GB kits on sale and was wondering what kit to buy ?
