BTW if anyone lives near BestBuy they have these X25 80gb SSD's on sale for 199.99 + you get a 30.00 BestBuy gift card with the purchase.
I have had 2x x25m80G1 on ich10r in R0 (wite back cache enabled) for 6 mo or so on ggbt x58xtreme - not a single problem - runs link a champ, very pleased.

I've never tried any xtreme cooling, not sure where to get it. But it is tempting to try it, hope to eventually give it a shot.

    @ Le Titi, Very nice

I dont have my 920 in now to test, but I have been able to get linx stable at 225bclk on this board, using a 3x1gb triple ch kit. Benchable is a little higher.
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=503

Edit: This is with my current chip, HT disabled. This chip runs 4500mhz on lower vcore than my 920 but above 4500 will not pass linx or much of anything else with HT enabled.

Found this screen from my first and not so good 920, water cooling.

    Hi guys,

my triple channel memory kit runs without problems with 6-8-7-21-CR1 timings on F6 bios, but the same configuration refuses to boot if I use any of the new F7 beta bioses. Each of my memory sticks passes the memtest with 6-8-6-21-CR1 timings on the first two white slots while on the third white slot there is no way to boot with the same timings: the post sequence stops on CODE 26 and the system reboots with conservative settings. The third white slot works perfectly with F6 bios, so I think it is a bios issue. Has anyone got a similar problem?

    My config:

    CPU: i7 950 @ 4.0GHz
    Motherboard: UD7 rev.1 with F7w bios
    Memory: G.SKILL Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD 1.6V (@ 1.64V)

I had this problem , a new flash fixed it and a reseat fixed it as i had bent socket pins..

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

    Good day fellow Gigabyte owners

Since UD5 was the best board I've had with the i7 platform , meaning most fun/ performace for the bucks
I decidet to grab the UD7 Rev 1.0

But I have one slight issue with it. from time to time it decides to make the USB Keyboard and mouse non functional and I have to unplug and plug them back. Then it works again.

It's kinda irritating doing it while Playing Starcraft II rated Match
If this a known thing or my board should end up RMAed.

    Thanks

make sure usb keyboard/mouse is enabled in bios, also the new F7x, F7w bios'es improve the usb support.

You can either disable turbo and actually set 21, or leave turbo enabled and then you can only set 20

Couple of days ago i bought the new rev2 of that board. I really like how UD7 looks. However there is an huge issue with rev2. The vdroop is insane. I highly reccomend not to buy rev 2 until this is fixed. Hopefully it can be fixed with new bios.
I tried both bioses available at the moment. Neither is good.
One example how big this problem is.
I have i7 980x. 1.425V vcore set from bios. What i see in windows (according to cpu-z 1.55 and easytune6 as well) is 1.408v. Under load with LinX vcoe randomly jumps between 1,392v <---> 1,376v.
This is the worst vcore drop i have ever seen on any board!
Setting vdoop adjust in bios between auto-level1-level2-enabled doesnt help at all. It only raises idle voltage then set to lvl2 example. but voltage drop under load stayes the same.

Dno what im going to do now. Maybe ill change to some other board. Too bad. I really like the bios and looks of it.

Edit: Quite odd. Now i increased voltage in windows by few steps and suddenly vdroop is completely gone under load. However the difference of set voltage and actual reading is still same wrong.

    Angry dead system

I think I toasted my board or my CPU....
was trying to overclock my machine to 4.3Ghz (was 4.2 Ghz Linx stable for 5 months) when during the second pass of Linx it just went into infinite reboot.
now it just powers up for 1/2 a second , then shuts down, then powers up for 1/2 second then shuts down, loops. Post error code shows C1 (Detect Memory)
any stick of ram in any of the slots shows this.
even with MB removed from case, nothing hooked up but CPU, and a stick of ram and power (no Harddrives or video card connected).
i have tried a different powersupply with the same result.

removing all ram it powers up and stays powered up with post error code shows C1

system is water cooled, and max temperature during tests was 70Deg on warmest core, vCore just under 1.4v
is my motherboard toast? or is it CPU? reason i wonder if it is CPU is because Intel moved their memory controller to the CPU...

    thoughs

Did you take out the battery and do a long cmos clear (like 1hr or so)? Also what kind of voltages were you using?

Try a Different chip , the mem controller could be Down on the Cpu.
