When it is, keep pushing - you can go much higher!

When water - 4.5+ghz should be easy for you.
I think I had 4.8 pcmv stable using chilled water - you should be able to get close to that (4.6, maybe 4.7)

Don't worry about high voltages for benching only - just keep an eye on your temps - particularly pcmv tv#1 and game#2 (mostly game#2).

980 is much more durable than I ever expected - I have greatly abused mine (for short duration) and I have as yet seen no degradation in performance!

All right Mr Nizzen - congrats and well done!

30856 for #6 in the HOF and HDD score of 157434 back to back!

So from 1680 to 1880 - how much of an increase was that?

was this with 4GB 800mhz cache?

It is only with 1gb cache. Waiting for the slow postsystem to deliver :p

4k points more? Time will tell when we tweak the banana out of the arc 1880

I can`t wait for the 4gb to arrive

    yes, probably between 2-4k more!
2k probably quickly and the other 2k when you get all the tweaks done.
    very impressive - well done!

Guys, I'm going to buy an areca ARC-1880i PCI-Express 2.0, which 3 ssd's should I buy to achieve best performace? I need to buy today. Will the performace be better than my 2 Intel G2 in R0 ?

    Thanks

4gb stick highly reccomended, but not necessary. cheaper is 2gb stick. half the capacity for 1/7th the price...you cant beat that!
SF drives do not degrade as fast as others in raid. it is a toss up of best drive between c300 and the SF.

Could you point to the 4gb/2gb stick to buy ?

If you were to pick with the knowledge you have right now, which specific drive would you buy 9brand name and model) ?

BTW I'm only buying 2 drives

    Good morning all,
Much thanks to Mr Youngpro for the increased motivation.

It took me 30 minutes to overtake Corsair Labs , using the Areca 1880 4G, 4R0, 24/7 OC on air

I wonder if the 1880 would make a difference to your 1231ML Steve, not so sure about that though, could be that the faster DDR makes a difference.

@ Mr Anvil - all right!
    I just now noticed!
    33K - very nice
    Good job! and on air!
4R0 what drives? SF or C300s?
Yes, the 1231's days might be numbered.
The acards reacted badly to the 1680 - (atleast early 1680 f/w anyway).
I wonder if acards will do better with the 1880?

    4R0 Vertex 2/LE

    Currently installing on 8R0
    (mix of 4x X25-E + the Vertex'es)

    edit:

Hard to tell about the Acards and the 1880.

I ran a quick CDM3 test using the 4 Vertex'es and 4K was ~200MB/s @ QD1 (both read and write), whats the score on the Acards?
