This benchmark is a lot more about drive performance anyways. That's what its all about..............

With a 166 BLCK (22*166=3.6GHz), RAM at 1333, and PCIe at 103, I was able to hit 24453 PCMarks -- enough to be at the bottom of the first page of the ORB.
Any suggestions on how to improve my score would be very much appreciated! I've read through the threads here on XS; most of the info seems related to OCing -- with my current cooling, there's probably not much more I can do on that front for the moment.

like dinos said - other than oc (obvious) - storage system performance in pcmv is the other huge player

Are there no OS/registry-level tweaks? Services that should be disabled? Settings on the graphics card?
I've seen multi-page-long lists of tweaks for 3DMarks; is there nothing equivalent for PCMV other than "OC and a fast storage system"?

Grats Dinos! I can probably get ~5ghz stable with water, already that's hanging out at 90c.
The 1880 doesn't seem like it's going to be life changing so I guess I'm done. Will be fun watching you guys go at it though. Someone catch steve and make him squirm at least!

i was expecting it to be higher. I had 29.8K with 4.4 but i expected your score to be 2K higher. Maybe i am overestimating the HDD tests. It would be nice to have a score calculator for PCMV like there was for PCM05
dinos which controller u using for your 5x ssds?
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
