Heatkiller 3.0 - installation issue ?

I wonder if everything is ok...

I have single loop , HK 3.0 block , MCP355 and Feser TripleRad + 3xNoctua 1200RPM .

Here's how it looks like, is my inlet/outlet connection ok ???





Another thing... Have heared that tension with Heatkiller should be 19.8mm however I did found some posts where people say 18.8 :/ So finally.. whats the answer ?? BTW... I use HK backplate...


Now my OC is 4.35GHz @ 1.38v HT on, EIST C1E etc. turned off...

My idle temps stay between 41-45C . During stress (LinX) max temp. is 82C .

Wonder if these temps are ok... I see many people whos idle temps stay around 30C on water.. :/

All depends on your ambient temperature.

Low 40s idle is very common without the EIST and C1E helping out.

Your temperatures look alright on the whole for a 4.35GHz OC.

Temps look right, for those volts and those overclocks.

Whats the temperature in the room (ambient)

You can't compare to other people unless you know that you are pretty much exactly the same as them with regards to the entire setup.

Not sure about your board, but you may need to rotate the block 90° if it is interfering with any of the capacitors around the socket.

Also don't worry too much about how precise to tighten the block down. I just tighten it down with finger strength until I can't go any further.

Hey there,

I used to get ~42c on a 4.31ghz @ 1.38v HT (MCP350 on a MCR320 Drive) on with ambient of 29c. It's about a 13c air delta.
Sabe's right, need to know your ambient temp.
