The H70 should be a $20-$25 delta over the H50.

Graphs like this are pointless for a system like the H50, testings needs to be done in a closed case to reproduce real life situations, such as gaming with your video cards heating up, im sure the results will vary, also cool down time, it takes the H50 a long time to cool back down to idle temps, with a high end air cooler, it cools off much sooner because the hot air is being taken out of the case, instead of being put back into it. Overall these all in one systems can be useful and very good depending on how you configure it and what case/system configuration you have.
Looks interesting, but:
- Mounting the rad in the back of the case has hot air flow issues, whether you push air in or out. The standalone external pump/reservoir/rad unit of my Corsair Nautilus 500 wins here (but it needs better block & better quality double rad)
- A problem with all WC setups is longevity & reliability. How long will the pump last? Are there corrosion issues? Are the hoses becoming brittle? Would you buy a 2y3m-old used WC setup like mine? With an aircooled setup you just need to keep an eye & ear to the fan occasionally. I'd buy a used aircooled heatsink, but would hesitate about a used WC setup.
If the rad is still aluminum I wouldn't touch it.
OCZ, where life-time warranty means until we're out of stock!
BestBuy is currently selling the H50 for $59.99![]()
i saw that, did a google search and they are the lowest by 8$, and no shipping if i go instore
almost tooooo tempting to not even care about a H70 price or perf
nice, cant wait to see results!
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
Redbeard, any news when the H70 will be release in Asia (Japan)
Wouldn't it work better with low speed, high pressure fans?
Just asking.
High fpi rads need a high rpm fans. Check out skinneelabs for rad testing/comparison.
The analogy is the same ofc.
$109 is waaaaay to expensive for something like this. 13-15° difference against air cooling solution
will probably turn out like a load of bs, which brings us to the rather unfavorable price/performance ratio.

Corsair H70 CPU Cooler Unboxing
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/...ooler_unboxingJust a quick sneak peek at what the new Corsair H70 looks like coming out of it packaging. If you are familiar with the Corsair H50, then you will likely guess that Corsair is looking to do the world of sealed water cooling a little bit better
the radiator dosnt look that thick, the H50 is probably only 18mm (25mm total, but a few mm in from either sides shroud)
that looks to be 1.75", or 44mm, so i assume the radiator itself is about 36-38mm, which is very close to double the old one.
eeek, i cant go a day without a double post happening
Corsair H70 CPU Cooler - First Install
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/..._first_installWe showed you the new Corsair H70 CPU cooler a couple of days ago and finally today we had the opportunity to place it inside our Quiet Fermi Build replacing the Corsair H50 we had in the system. Come along to see our install and what our preliminary temperatures look like.
I'm curious to see as to how this performs with cheaper, higher pressure fans (Think 38mm). I'm using a megahalems right now, and I just can't take enough heat off the damn thing without using noisy 90+ cfm fans.

Wouldn't anyone compare this to the danamics coolers ?![]()
For $110 (possibly less) if I keep my eye on the classifieds here I could go with a real water cooling setup that will blow the H70 out of the water and for not much more I could go with all new parts
