    The title is a bit ironic given that Intel has stopped releasing new CPUs for some time now. They seem only to re-release what is already out there only in new "packages" which may give them better margins. Intel increasingly becomes what was about a decade ago, a "gentle" tyrant.

    I'm still on a Q6600 and see little reason to upgrade at this time. Maybe in 1.5 years. I'll switch when there is a new SB with SATA 6 Gb/s and 6 or more core CPU's.
