I agree with the sentiment of your first point, sometimes people take the speculation too far. some people are very certain about their speculation

to the second, it is called product differentiation. by removing that feature on a lower priced product, they can charge more for it in the higher priced product. like intel laser cutting the perfectly good cache of a lower priced cpu.

i'm asking about the sli connector because in the past all GTX branded products had the ability to run tri-sli, this is the first GTX product that has been crippled in this way. it really makes me wonder if this isn't the GTS455...
