Ok, I'll try maybe 105 Mhz at the PCIE Frequency, but I can't understand what link it has with the BCLK or QPI? Can you clear me up on that ?

Even with only 1 extra Mhz to the PCIe helped.

I'll try how much bclk I can raise with only 1 Mhz PICE, then after the second bottleneck, i'll try to raise again. Thx for your help

Just booted up, and saw CPU speeds low, found that while the Bios 602 (or when switched to 0531) show the 21 multiplier selected .. at boot / in windows only a 20 multiplier is active on CPU..

Never happend to me before so can only guess its CPU on the way out?.. as same issue on both Bios..

Anyone seen this before? Should I expect things to get worse, or is there a remedy?

I don't think that your CPU is failing, never heard it fails that way. Could you post your settings using BIOS template?

I can post settings but to be honest, Not sure which you need and when , it does not matter what setting I use .. I still can get 21 multiplier to work..

Everything was working OK,:

21 x 210.4.41ghz. HT off 1.41 v, 1.33 QPI, 1.64, DRAM. Most others default.. had been able to LINX 1hr 4.41 and 4.55 just fine.


So tonight I was Viewing Forum, when BSOD 101 came up out of nowhere.. I little supprised as nothing under stress, then on re boot saw the low CPU speed. :



I will try to pull power... Battery etc.. (in a hope its not CPU)

It was needed on my old board to achieve turbo state.

Phew... managed to get the 21 multiplier.. I needed to do an old fashion clear CMOS.. battery out .. etc.

Everything seems back to normal now bit of a scare.. not sure what corrupted the Bios.

I am in UK and been waiting for over 2 weeks now to get the board.
I have it reserved with OCUK & Novatech. . . they all say eta unknown.
Anyone have any other suggestions as to where I can get the board. . please.

Quick question: Should my mobo function if one of the ramslots seem dead? As of now I can only detect 2 of the sticks, and I have narrowed it down to ramslot A2 by trial and error. I thought I had tightened my Venomous too tight so I redid it, still no 6gb of mem detected.

can any1 post bios settings for i7 920 at 4.5Ghz pls i can run 4.4Ghz at 1.36v but anything more than that bsod =/

before I get stuck in can somone advise of the best Crucial C300 optimizer tool for trim etc, Im a bit of an ssd noob tbh, I have updated the firmware to rev 2. and the drive is the Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s.

Try to check the CPU and socket, if theres any unwanted stuff, might going to get your channel back

I got it back

Relaxed the mounting of the VX even more and it is all good. Still fiddling to find a decent 24/7 4Ghz combo, I really want to run my mem at 1600 mhz but 200x20 seems too unstable. But the board is a pleasure to work with!

I'll have 1 HD 5850 overclock to the max
I'll use a BCLK of 215 Mhz with multiplier 21x

I want to know how much voltage should I put in the IOH and ICH, I heard that auto was a bad option

so
IOH Core: 1.31v
IOH PCIE: 1.61v

ICH Core :1.19v (auto is at 1.13v)
ICH PCIE : (auto) I dont have any PCIE x4 cards

Will that be okay?
