I tried both levels for instance.. I have set 1.32500V in bios
Level 2 shows me 1.296V in CPU-Z during idle and 1.312V on load,
Level 1 shows me 1.296V in CPU-Z during idle and 1.280V on load

Based on my experience any way you choose it it's all matter of tuning. You might have to up your Vcore if you use Level 1 to get it stable and Level 2 might be just the right thing.
I'm still experimenting with Dynamic Vcore Adjust (DVID), as it seams interesting as well.

looks like we need a level 1.5 to make it consistent.

Currently have LLC set to Level 1 and it gives me 1.248v at both idle and load (BIOS setting is 1.27v).
Used Level 2 for a while, with 1.25v BIOS setting it gave me 1.214v idle 1.248v load.

Both settings passed 20x LinX runs, Level 1 tho should be a bit easier for CPU to handle and safer as well in a long run giving the reason why Intel has vdroop in a first place.

so I've tightened my ram to 8-8-8-24-1T and running 216x21 without any issues. However, it looks like my 5970 doesn't like ati overdrive enabled, even without any overclock, it tears the screen on the 2nd monitor plugged in :-S

I'm probably going to be pushing 220ish to see if I can run it stable, then try to decrease volts all around. Funny thing: warmest component is north bridge at 48 idle, 52 load. I doubt I'll bother with a re-mount of the EK block with tons of paste like some other have suggested, it's just too much trouble at this point. I might do it when I get the case painted sometime this summer though

Did you do a clean install on your drivers? Remove old ones, reboot, then run driver sweeper, then reboot again and install new 10.4?

Just checking because I ran into stuttering issues with 5870 in Vantage due to updating 10.2 to 10.4 without a clean install, so just thought maybe that would help you.

Has anyone tryed out Gulftown + LN2 without the Hicookie's mod?
I have pretty decent retail and I'm planning to get some LN2 for next weekend! With my cascade (a weak one: with load only -70 - -80 degrees) I already managed to get some 5.6GHz runs! E.g.:

I basically installed the card and put 10.4 right away without any previous drivers.

I have not modified my board yet, and just did a Dry Ice session.

I couldn't buy enough ice though (Store only had 10 pounds left), so ran out too quickly before I get get in to many benchmarks though. Spent more than half that messing with max Bclk, only to get the same as I could on water!

Seems there is a 8.8Ghz QPI wall, and QPI Slow mode is not working properly I don't think, not sure. I am talking with GIGABYTE Taiwan about that right now.

Anyhow, best I could do with the time and Ice I had on hand

    Yo guys,
I have got a funny problem. My system wakes up exactly at 12:00 a.m just by itself. I have shut it down a few hours ago when I get surprised by working pc in the morning. The task manager shows up a system time since 12:00 a.m.
    GreenLanWakeUp is disabled.
What am I supposed to do?

Do you have the wake up timer set in the BIOS?

There is a setting for that (Resume by alarm), sounds like you accidentally enabled it but left the default time 12:00?

Use the latest, change logs do not list all the fixes and even when they do list changes it may only be a small portion of what has changed.

Latest always has the best improvements, you should always use the latest unless you hear reports of issues with a certain one of course.

    Here, latest is F7h

I don't have a gigabyte board myself (actually, I do, but not in use yet ), but if that's an utility to flash the bios from within Windows, I wouldn't use it. Programs in Windows are more prone to crashing, and if it crashes, no matter what reason, you might end up with a bricked board.

but doesn't the dual bios solve that issue?
    edit: not brick the board?

Yeah, I guess, but why bother fixing a problem, if you can prevent it in the first place from ever happening (Aside from a few rare cases, such as power outages)?
