First time I've heard that. Me + Camera usually = epic fail.

Is there any way to take off only HS from NB leaving rest in place?

I'll also confirm that you cant expose the NB on this board, as USZ showed.

The NB heatsink is a very very smooth and flat block that is connected to everything else, but it comes with two air coolers that you can install on top of it - the short passive one pre installed, and a bigger one to install if it will fit under your CPU cooler. You can also remove the fan off the larger block as well and just have a passive cooler 3x the size of the preinstalled one if you can fit it on, but the fan is silent.

For water cooling, you need a water block that fits on top of the smooth base.
