ahhh my ty luck, I sold my low VID Q9650 for this Xeon X3380 with a 1.25 VID

Well I just some random voltages in and got this

however it failed prime blend in like 15 minutes.

the good thing is this a cool running chip, the above was 1.44 volts loaded.

grats on the new chip mate !!!

vid 1,25 doesn't mean that is bad generally are cooler chips and you can give more volts like on mine that its 1,2 vid, keep testing !!!

here are my results yesterday i finishing cabling the back part of the haf922 and took an hour to do some quick test on 24C ambient closed room temp

on the other setup i needed AC to pass this same, temps are great im very happy with it

    Cheers !

So i see you can't set the CR to 1T as well. I have only seen a handful of people running 1T on DDR3 boards. You have a nice chip, I was hoping for a 1.2-1.23 VID but oh well.

Looking very nice Andressergio, so what's next, 4.75Ghz stable o/c?
How is it with the 9.5 multi?
Some nice parts in that loop too. Apogee XT ftw!
I took a look at those radiator brackets as well, they seem like a good idea, but don't they block the intake for the fan behind it at all?

Got my RX240 in the other day and it has made the world of difference. I'm currently 5 hours P95 stable at 500x9, and although I'm giving it 1.45vcore for it (1.424v in CPU-Z), temps have maxed out at 72°C, which has meant a 5-8°C difference. My old rad was literally 'carpeted' in dust due to the higher fin density, but with filters in place and a closed case, this shouldn't give me any more issues. Just waiting for my USB3P and DDR3 now

    Thanks In Fluence

Mobo is very nice here are the PROS:

    1) still loves the same refs as my UD3P...on MCH and CPU

    2) rail on the 12V its on 12,36 same as i measure with DMM the UD3P 12,11 so i guess that has a better regulation

    3) due to 2 i can OC more the VGA on same volts as before

    4) boots easy at 2000mhz mem on loose timmings

    5) reboots are no more reboot loops recovers on 2 boots alone if i screw any OC

    CONS i didnt find any

Hope GIGABYTE keeps improving BIOS on this very nice mobo

My aim is 4680 on x9 wich is faster than 4750 on 9,5. For now 4608 mem on 1640 is my 24/7

    Cheers

Has anyone else that uses this board experienced issues with the network ports/NICs failing?

I've had several occasions that both of my network ports begin failing both in Windows and Linux. In Windows, I receive an error about it being unable to start the device. In Ubuntu, it simply doesn't recognize it correctly whenever I start experiencing this problem. However, I've found out that if I reset my BIOS, both NICs begin working again in both OSes. It's a strange issue, but apparently it must be hardware related since the issue persists even across different systems.

I spent about 5 hours trying to get to the bottom of the issue, but I finally went back to the solution I knew would solve the problem, which was resetting the BIOS settings. I tried formatting and installing Windows several times and also using about 4 different drivers, but nothing gave. I tried disabling the quick boot option and that didn't do anything either.

I'm using the latest BIOS, and it's worth mentioning that even while experiencing this issue, the Smart Lan option in the BIOS successfully detected a network connection without any errors. I can't think of anything other than some sort of glitch in the board itself. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

On top of these network issues, I've experienced some weird issues with the boot priority settings where the correct device is not booted. For an example, even though my first boot device is a hard drive and my primary hard drive is selected as my Samsung drive, it tries to boot to an external usb western digital drive instead. I have to unplug my external drive sometimes to get it to boot.

I thought about RMAing the board because these weird issues really get annoying when they appear. However, the board does seem fine in other areas. I can overclock my processor and memory a little more with this board than I could with my P5W DH Deluxe and whenever the system is up and running, there are no problems what so ever.

The system is prime stable and runs very smoothly. However, if I unplug my system for a little while to do some cleaning, when I boot back up my network ports sometimes will not work until I reset my BIOS. The problem doesn't occur every time I cut the power, but that seems to be a pretty decent diagnosis for the cause of the problem, since I've cut the power every time I've experience this issue.

Anyone got any suggestions? Should I do an RMA? Is there something I should try?

    Thanks

Well this is nothing from other world but as i changed rad and block now I can linx at ~1.4vcore at normal ambient temps 22 to 24C, before i had to hit 10C AC to the rad directly to pass

either way temps are high but system holds it before it was a < 1sec BSOD
this new setup is giving me nice surprises never seen chip hold a 80C temp lol

    Cheers guys

    Thanks
I had some trouble with the NIC about a year ago, but it has been good since then. I would get a hold a Giga, and see what they say. If it is a hassle for you, then yes go for the RMA.
