Linx don't mean s**t - I've had prime fail within mintutes after linx for hours - that's on 4 different 775 chips, an i7, 5 different boards, a plethora of memory, and PSUs etc. I'm not saying I'm any kind of 'stability guru', linx maybe good for CPU stability and a quick (or long if you choose) memory stability check, but tosh for general mem/nb afaic. Prime tests more CPU/NB/memory stressing combinations for longer (and I believe OCCT also performs a shortened version of the same tests as prime). [/rant]
