Even Gigabyte's old V-Tuner had minor voltage adjustments.....

As far as I understand, the SOC ES samples support software overvolting, but the retails don't. Please, PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah...that would be great for someone who wants to run slightly higher voltage 24/7...but I need A LOT of voltage for extreme cooling.

Thanks good to know man, thanks.

Wonder why Gigabyte would choose to lock the SOC Tuner for retail. Maybe some workaround?

    Can't wait for your posts.

I reckon to I2C bus to the voltage regulator has been hardlocked. Again, need confirmation on this.

Thanks for the reply massman, I'm no hardmod guru but knowing that the I2C was hardlock isn't there a way to remove that particular IC or shorten it to make the volatge tuner to work via software?

Don't think it's hardlocked Pieter, the Vddci, Memory Voltage & PCI-Express voltage work just fine.
The GPU Core voltage however isn't working.

Did you check with a dmm if the card is actually at 1.30v?

Can you edit the .ini file to raise max volts?

Thanks Raid...I'll check back tomorrow as I'm done for tonight. Lightning, FAIL...GB SOC not looking good, anybody know if the ASUS Matrix is wide open??

I think its all come down to the yields, which after the first few cards shipped out to get us in a lather just didn't pan out. Ratz....wanted to give ATI one more bash before flippin over to Fermi.

    Good Luck tonight Bill.....

Looks like the whole GPU Core voltage thing is a mistake ( hardware engineers making changes after the software development team "finished" the application ).
For the hardcore modders, there's always the Vmod, but the software will more than likely ( I'm just 98% sure, that's why I'm not using the word surely ) fixed too soon

One way to control the GPU core voltage with a hardware mod is a VID mod.
Similar to the GTX 260 Super Overclock mod posted in the Xtreme VGA Mods on this very forum.

I'm about to check if I can find out how to control the voltage via software in a bit.
