im pretty sure some people were scolded in the fermi threads, so its not like the mods are biased, so lets not worry so much about whos right and wrong and let the mods do it, they are much better at is than most people here.

and for the record, all fans of a certain brand have their experts, who know the ins and outs of the chips, and have done excellent jobs of informing us of the details, and i have yet to see those experts bash the competition. at worse they get excited for the new toys coming out, but are never disrespectful. its usually the people with a low post count, and low product knowledge, who like to do the bashing, and we shouldnt let them give the impression that all fanboys are just as bad.

Being pro-logic is NOT anti-AMD! We all want AMD to be competitive, but some of you are just brain-washed trolls who are trying to turn XS into the AMDZONE! It's a cult worship if nothing bad can be said about the power you worship!

Unless someone actually has some solid numbers and a trusted source (complete with screenshots) to back them up, then everyone in this thread is speculating. IF that is the case (which it is), why should we all hold hands and sing kumbayah? The irony is you see the same users harassing members in every AMD thread and yet they all get the respect they deserve in every thread. It's pathetic how you guys (you know yourselves) have segmented this forum into AMD and the REST, while actively controlling who has the right to say what and where! Very pathetic. The powers that be really need to open their eyes to the INTOLERANCE. Maybe just go register your own domain and set up a website with a disclaimer that objective/subjective comments about AMD products are not welcome and would result in a swift ban? How about that?

Posting on this website is a privilege, not a right. Those with the AMD cult worship agenda can go to the AMDZONE; the rest of us would discuss the pros and cons of hardware - yeah that includes both AMD and Intel.

not really sure why you felt the need to post a rant, especially being a new comer, but I don't think this site is anything like amdzone. Everyone here realizes that Intel clearly has superior product in terms of pure performance, this thread is more about the pros and cons of CMT. CMT is about the only thing that can get AMD back to equal footing, in fact if done right, it should be much better than SMT. I can't speak for others, but I myself am not an amd fanboy.

Had you read through the majority of the thread, you would have noticed there are actually more intel fanboys trying to slam the product than amd fanboys trying to pump it up. It's quite frustrating to read all the comments about how it's ipc will be worse than k10s, simply because that is a moronic statement. Why would that make any sense from a business standpoint to release a worse generation of products than before?

Do yourself a favor, and take a chill pill. It would also do you quite a bit of good to spend more time reading and trying to learn than ranting. Only the very exclusive club of the truly elite really have the right to make a rant about the quality of the site, and that's purely because this site is nothing without them. Also, I'd like to point out that you are posting this in a thread that is about speculation on AMD's future product, what did you expect to see? That would be naive, if not down right moronic, to expect Intel to be the main focus.

ok i am not as good as other ppl at this but, i am i right in assuming that on that graph there are only 2 alu's and 2 agu's? also what is an lsu? am i right in understanding that an agu accesses stuff from memory?

an LSU is a load store unit. it basically reads and writes values to memory(this can be main memory or cache). it gets addresses from the AGU (address generation unit). they can have more alu's and agu's in each "cluster". its just a matter of implementation and most likely there will be more than one. they have a few pages of different tricks they can do with this uarch. it seems pretty cool.
