If you play with your skews and ref's, you might be able to squeeze a little more, but that is already an impressive clock.

I'm still on BIOS F10e. I have forgotten how to get this one off the board, since it locks in.

Can someone reiterate on how to get it to flash?

If anyone is interested, there have been recently released beta versions of "Gigabyte Mac Edition BIOS" for several Gigabyte P45 boards.
    http://cartri.net/blog/downloads
The author would probably like feedback about any compatibility problems, as far as running standard non-OSX operating systems, such as Windows, Ubuntu, etc. while using these modified bios.
    System 1: Intel 3570K, Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H (blue capacitors), dual bioses F15o/F15r, Samsung 2x 4 Gb 30nm ULV DDR3, Sony-Optiarc BD-R, dual-boot: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, Windows XP SP3 32-bit.
    System 2: Intel E8400; Gigabyte EP45-UD3R, bios F12, 2x 2 Gb G.Skill PC8800, Seagate SATA HD, nVidia 9500GT; Samsung SATA DVD-RW, dual-boot: OSX Lion, Windows 7 64-bit.

OSX has already been installed while using the official Gigabyte bios, but doing that requires some workarounds. The forums at insanelymac.com are one source for further info. The eventual goal is to be able to boot the retail Snow Leopard DVD and install directly. All the while maintaining Windows, Ubuntu, etc. dual-boot capability.

    Hello

    First excuse my english.

    My PC configuration is

    CPU = Q9550 E0 vid 1.2125 in core temp
    Cooler: Noctua NH-U12P
    Motherboard = Gigabyte EP45-UD3-R rev.1.0
    BIOS Version = F12

Available in 4GB (2x2048) Dual Channel Kits
    Unbuffered
OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 Flex II 4GB Series *EOL OCZ Technology

After Upgrade my bios to F12 I have reached a OC of 3.61 GHz (i Think that it is stable) I passed 3 hours of orthos with the hotest core at 55 Cº and 20 cicles of intelburn test with the hotest core at 61 Cº.

However I think my setting could be optized to reach better voltages and temperatures and setting better my memories for 3.62 GHZ.

NOTE: I have reached 3.8 GHZ (448x8.5) with the same setting changing only CPU Vcore to 1.2125 value and now i´m testing (intelburn 20 cicles passed and max temp 63 Cº in the hotest core) <now testing with orthos.

That's a good start. To try and push your FSB even higher, change your CPU reference to 0.775 and MCH reference to 0.80 while you have termination set to 1.2v, then move it back up to 1.28 (CPU and MCH references will both move up as well). This works well for a lot of people with q9xxx on these boards and I think you could push as far as 470-500fsb while still keeping low temperatures (and maybe even overclock your memory if you get near 500 ). Good luck.

Before i´m tryng 3,8 with lower CPU VCore

    CPU Vcore….….......1.2125..........:1.2065

    Thanks

    A question. I´m confused with

    CPU Reference……....0.760V*.......: Auto

    MCH/ICH
    MCH Core…….....1.100V...........: 1.260V
    MCH Reference….0.760V............: Auto
    MCH/DRAM Ref.…......0.900V......: Auto

I set CPU Termination…..1.200V*.......: 1.280v and i set this settings as AUTO but is it correct (OK)? Or with AUTO i have too high voltages?

    Thanks

For some reason my PC can no longer boot from my OCZ Vertex 30g when AHCI mode or RAID is enable in the BIOS, the machine just hangs at the Intel AHCI BIOS screen.

If I switch back to standard IDE everything is fine.

The machinie will boot using AHCI / RAid if the OCZ Vertex is not plugged in, I have been able to create a RAID array with two disk in the machine.

Everything was working fine than for what ever reason it stopped.

I have tried all the obvious things, reset BIOS, flash BIOS etc but I can't seem to fix the problem.

    Any ideas?

    1. Set CPU termination to 1.2v
    2. Set CPU reference to 0.775, and MCH reference to 0.80
    3. set CPU termination to 1.28v (and CPU and MCH reference will change - this is ok)

From here you might be able to get some higher FSB. I hope this is easy to understand now

@Slinwagh - there's a registry edit you can do to enable AHCI, it was posted by bluestang the other day:

    A stupid question.

These voltage are lower or higher than I Set CPU reference to 0.760, and MCH reference to 0.90 (with CPU Termination at 1.280v)

I bag your pardon if question is stupid.

    And MCH/DRAM Ref.…......0.900V?

    Thanks
