Mr Mbreslin - what are you using for cooling - i thought you were under water - what is your temps?
I'm waiting for some fittings and things, right now everything is stuffed on one loop. I don't think temps are the problem as max was like ~70.
yes, agree - 70s should be alright.
what are you running your memory at?
Near the same as yours, I have a triple kit of 2000mhz c7 7-8-7-20-2t (dominator-gt)
what do you suggest?
Edit: I'm beginning to think my ram is overheating, does that sound right? It fails faster on the next linx runs and it's super hot to the touch, I haven't wanted to use the fan that comes with it because I have extended fins and the fan is louder than like 20 of my noctuas were lol. Anyway going to try it now, will let you know.

You can extract your complete current BIOS from your PC,with Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit.
More info here:

or with Gigabyte Face Wizard B10.401.01
Btw,just released:

Oh well. I just deinstalled the whole programm (EasyTune6 doesnot even have an uninstaller) and tried run the setUp; so look at this:
That a programm can´t be upgraded like any other modern programm reminds me at the times with Windows 2000. I think it is crappy![]()

Well, got my 980X about a week ago and had plenty of fun playing about with it. This is my max LinX stable clocks so far:
Thats with VTT/uncore at 1.33v and CPU PLL at 1.88v. Only question is do u think the voltages are too high for 24/7 use? little undecided about that.
System Specs:
Core i7 2600k
Asus Maximus V Gene
4x2gb G-Skill Ripjaw 2133mhz
MSI Radeon R9 290X
Asus Xonar Essence STX
2x Crucial M4 256gb RAID 0
Seagate 7200.12 3TB HDD
Corsair AX860i.
Watercooling Specs
EK Supreme HF, XSPC EX360, XSPC EX240, DDC Ultra w/aquacomputer top, Aqualis XT res, Kryographics 290X GPU block
VTT/uncore at 1.33v is fine (intel "abs. max" is 1.4v), someone else needs to chime in on CPU PLL at 1.88v - I have run CPU PLL 1.9v in benching no problem.
How is your temps?
Temps seem fine - on an apogee GTZ hooked up to PA120.3. Idling around 35 degrees, and max was 72 degrees on LinX, but as ever they rarely get that hot in anything else.
System Specs:
Core i7 2600k

Mike - your temps look great for 24/7,

That's a great OC for 24/7. This 6-core thingy is a monster, anyways.
VVT=1.33v is just fine. The vCore is fine as long the temperature is under control, but some people are suggesting to keep it under 1.375v, just to be on the safe side. Generally it depends on your cooling, and you should be fine on water.
But don't trust that LinX-run, that low Gflops is indication that it is not stressing all cores 100%, try to check the temp and stability with a couple of hours Prime smallFFT-run.
I haven't seen any VVT=1.33v option in any of my BIOSs. It jumps by 2, from 1.32v to 1,34v and nothing in between. I'm wondering where it comes from.

The GFLOPS are too low if you ask me. Try to rise VTT and/or VCore. You should see some increase for GFLOPS.

ok guys, i'll stick prime in a give it a shot to make sure. In the mean time ive spent some time benching over the last week too:

^^ That is a nice score. Yes just try and see how it works for you.
I think that low Gflpos is a LinX-bug on 6C/12T.
I'm not sure what's wrong, neither the developer apparently, but it seams to stress partially, maybe jumping over some cores. Some people use 512MB RAM to solve this problem, but that sounds strange to me.
I believe a couple of hours Prime smallFFT + a HyperPI32M (for RAM/IMC stability) would be the best option until they fix the LinX.

Just a question about bios and i7 980X, what bios are shipped with newest UD7 bought in shops these days ? Can one check what bios that was shipped with mobo before powering it on ? If mobo has old bios how to flash bios to new one that supports i7 980X. I might need to use another cpu? But don't have any other cpu's supporting this mobo ...
What steps can be done ? if I can't boot with i7 980X ?
^^ You need at least BIOS-F3, released 2010/01/29.
I don't know how you can make sure the MB is newer, but you won't be able to boot with older BIOS. Then you would need a 45nm i7 to flash it.

close, I don't really know my issue, I set ram to 12x uncore to 24x vcore 1.400
I left everything else auto, should I push vtt? what about vqpi? What is safe to push those?
