Bandwidth is indeed low... Can it be 'cause of the chipset ? Because P35 and X48 have tighter internal latencies than X38
Don't think it's because of the chipset, 462 points in MaxxMem is really low.
    zsamz_ might be onto something.
Could be a software problem as well though, MaxxMem is a bit buggy sometimes.

True, might be the case here.

Reaching such high FSB speeds is very hard for the NB, did you try higher volts? Or the NB could be overheating, hard to tell to be honest, can be a lot of things.

Maybe my score was too low due to the fact I used my custom nLited 90MB Win XP + SP3 OS ? I only use it for SuperPi 1M and PiFast, but I thought: "What the heck, let's also toss MaxxMem in it"

Hm, my MaxxMem runs were also made on a XP with many services disabled, but still, it was a full install. Maybe something's missing or you disabled too many services and other stuff.

My XP OS runs only with 8 services enabled It's made for SPi and PiFast only... Maybe that's the reason indeed

Those voltages are insane, lower them asap!

NB voltage is way too high ( CPU voltage as well of course ), it will be overheating in no time and might even be damaged already.

Of course it won't. Not as long as there are D9 chips alive!

Tried a funny thing today.. subzero memory

I know that the clocks kind of suck (considering it's d9gmh and I pumped 2.85 volts through it), but this is a old 2x512 kit that barely makes 1200 cl5 I did this just to see if there really was any gains to be had going subzero on ram. On air this kit makes ~550 4-4-4-4 @ 2.5 volt, doesn't scale well with more volt. So I'd say subzero ram is worth it

Oh and about the cooling.. cold spray for 10 min action at -10 to -20°C
    Overclocking, it's a lifestyle

    This thread will never die!

I still have two kits I never tried, they're still sitting there new and untouched. Both should be rather nice D9, 8500 Ballistix and 8500 Teamgroup.

    This is really xtreme!

I guess cold spray just isn't really cold enough to see much gain over air, things will be more interesting with dice or ln2.

The ballistix is rather promising, can't wait for your results!

    I still got a Teamgroup 1300MHz 6-6-6-18 kit un-tested...

I found an old Asus P5N-e (nF 650i). My precedent is dead, but the new still live ! 0$ and this :

    Corsair Dominator PC9136 @656Mhz 5-5-5-15; 2.51v

It's not better than the other mobo, but i had forgotten such frequency/timings were good to see

    The E6600 is quite good too : AM3 @4.8Ghz @-125°
