I was wondering how long it would take you to find this thread Try 3-3-3-12 @ 800 1.9v, and bump frequencies and voltages when needed. @ 3-3-3-12/15/18 you should be able to do over 900, voltage will vary obviously, but if its a good D9 kit, about 2.1v.

I've found this thread in the past

    I'm able to run 4-4-4-5 @ 1115 @ 2.4v, but I have to back down to 1040 4-4-4-5 @ 2.2v

    3-3-3-5 @ 800 is only good at 2.0-2.1v.

I think the motherboard has a little bit to do with it. chew* had some talk about Gigabyte's AMD boards not liking D9 and even clocking ProMOS kits better than D9. I'm gonna let this board go soon and look for another DDR2 board.

    Well-at least the Gigabyte 775 Boards like D9- 4x1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer 1066 16.FD5 @1302 5-5-5-15 SPi 32M @2,14V

It´s a shame I sold them, but now after having upgraded to 1156 with one machine, I still have 3 kits of 1066 Ballistix and one 1066 Team kit left-this has to be enough^^

Yea gigabyte boards did stink at clocking D9s. Asus boards on the other hand, nothing but love when I tried it. At the time testing for compatibility was one of the thinks I done for Mushkin.

Thank you for the kind words- next week I will get my supposedly last DDR2 rams, 4x1GB of Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500- in spite of still having a system running with DDR2 and seven D9GMH/GKX kits I think I will concentrate on DDR3 afterwards

Can you do some testing over ~2.2v? I'd like to see what those kits of yours can do when you use some real voltage. Try for some SPI32M dual channel over 680 MHz please

Maybe I will try if I get the new Ballistix because I will have to do some tests to see if they are ok and how they perform- usually I am not a big fan of high V for mere testing purposes, especially if these are longer tests and the UD3 and E8600 are my 24/7 system built in a case

I'm not suggesting anything silly, many of us have run 2.4 - 2.6v for hours on end with no sign of degradation. I'm sure we'd all like to see what these kits of yours, which are better than any of us have ever seen before, anywhere, can do on that voltage range (2.4 - 2.6v for example). SPI32M dual channel at 680MHz+ should be easy given what they are doing on only 2.2v (which is less than many of us ran on D9 for years daily).

So many kits can do SPI32M CL5 at 650 - 660 MHz, it's pedestrian these days. It's over 680 MHz that seperates good ram from great ram, and given even moderate voltage, say 2.4v, we'd love to see what yours can do.

Should be D9G- I am suprised that these Chips are on 6400s as they are high binned, is this a kit without clips at the HS?- to be sure you can measure how big the ICs are- if its 10mmx10mm this would be the last proof you need

these have the clips.i was just curious as to whether there was a way
to know if they d9- GKX's or GMH's by the numbers on them?

I saw these chips till now only on 1066s kits- knowing how Microns bins these are more or less an equivalent to GKX or Micron changed binning in the last days- 25E was GKX, binned at 400 Cl5-5-5- theoretical these 25F should be 400 Cl4-4-4

D9GMH or D9GKX is the same chip, just binned by Micron, but since these have been binned again by Crucial, it doesn't really matter. On some older kits you could see the original marking shine through the new Ballistix marking, is it possible on your kit?

-25F is not the original Micron speed grade, it should be -25E for D9GKX and -3 for D9GMH. -25F is a theoretical 400MHz CL4 speed grade.

Edit: You know you're a real ram addict when you know Micron's speed grades by heart.

Now that you know they're good stuff, give them a spin on the UD3P!

Not very impressive if I can dare to say that- but nothing unusual, I had a lot of 800 Crucial Kits and except for one or two, they had no chance aganist my 1000 and 1066 Kits- the best I did hit was 633MHz C5 at 2,2Volts with an 800 16FD5, one 800 16FD3 kit I sold did 660 on an AMD sys with 2,31V but then refused to scale at the new owner- I had only tested it for 600 at 2,02V as I had too much ram and too little time
