I think we all talked to the same AIB rep who quoted those ridiculously low numbers. Basically, the guy is always pissed at something. I won't say who it is but he is someone from one of the smaller AIBs that ALWAYS get shafted at launch.

I suggest you not pay attention to neliz or Charlie in this case since it seems they are quoting from the same "source" who spewed the same crap to everyone. I heard it....heck, 20 other journalists must have heard it as well. It's just certain ones that will post unsubstantiated rumors while most others won't.

Basically, I suggest you wait before making any assumptions about "launch targets" and whatnot. Maybe NVIDIA was spot on. Maybe they weren't.

One way or another things will boil down to two scenarios for certain people who do nothing but try to find controversy:

April 20th comes and there are still cards on the shelves after pre-orders are filled = Fermi isn't selling!!!

April 20th comes and there are no cards to be found = Fermi missed launch targets!!!

Folks, the retail channel isn't nearly so black and white but the little lemmings will always believe what they are told.
