My Q9650 has a VID of 1.1625 Volts but I cannot be LinX stable with a Vcpu lower than 1.42500 Volts in BIOS.... Am I missing something?



Perhaps is there more than one range where raising the voltage makes the CPU stable?

For example a 1.1625-1.27500 first range... CPU is stable with low heat.
Than it becomes instable due to increased heat...
Raising the voltage more to find a second range and so on till the maximum heat dissipable by the heatsink...

Is that true?
