now i would recommend not using auto for any of your voltages
while overclocking.as the board will set voltage very high.
    like vtt and pll.
try setting these voltages for that OC ok?

    Load-Line Calibration...........................[ enabled]
    CPU Vcore [ 1.25 ]...................[ 1.30v]
    CPU Termination [ 1.20 ]...................[ 1.22v]
    CPU PLL [ 1.55]...................[ 1.57v]
    CPU Reference [ 0.805]...................[ normal]

    MCH Core [ 1.100 ]...................[ 1.30v ]
    MCH Reference [ 0.760 ]...................[ normal ]
    MCH/DRAM Refernce [ 0.900 ]...................[ normal ]
    ICH I/O [ 1.500 ]...................[ normal ]
    ICH Core [ 1.100 ]...................[ normal]

    DRAM Voltage [ 1.5]...................[ 1.64]
    DRAM Termination [ 0.900 ]...................[normal]

if this works we can start lowering voltages.keep us posted.

i was just getting ready to ask about the FD bios for v1.6 im thinking it might be whats keeping me from getting a higher OC. 3.83ghz is about the max i can get stable and i know this board(older versions) along with the Q9550 EO can get higher. i was gonna ask if i should role back to FB bios and try that. but i think i will do some reading on the FE bios first... has anyone tried this yet?

looks like you and I in the same boat......I just tried it and I still gotta work with it more...Im wondering if its these 1200 Tridents holding me back. Although I checked in at 4.050 with memory at 1267 relaxed timings to 6-6-6-18. I could always drop the memory some but I just wanted to see what I could do at 1200 or better,

    edit.....on a Q9550 also at 3.833 24/7 without any problem at all

edit....speaking of that I just might go back to FB myself, honestly dont know why I changed it lol

I'm also starting to think that FB might still be the best one. The only annoying thing about it is the lack of quickboot option and is left disabled. This hides the board info from CPU-Z and messes with the experience index I also had to re-authorise W7 and reinstall the futuremark software due to sysinfo errors.

So far FE has not proved to be any better than FD but I've still got a few things to try before I consider going back.

Still waiting for the dam backplate for my apogee XT which has been sitting here for a fair while. They never advertised the fact they don't ship the 775 backplate to europe, so I had to contact some german store who then ship on their behalf. Honestly, purchasing hardware for the past year has been such hard work 90% of the time, with either delivery/stock/rma issues!

I'll get there in the end!

Its funny that you mention that because FB was totally fine for me, it was FD that hid the mobo from CPUZ and messed with the WEI.........very interesting! FD also makes the readings in CPUID Hardware Monitor read weird (LLC enabled and the +12v either reads .070 or it totally dissapears, and also removes it completely from OCCT)

have you tried upping the fsb to 445 and see what happens?if it boots up into windows
try running prime95 and see what happens.

    @DTV DRAGON
when you get prime95 start with small fft's to find your optimal vcore.
if it runs ok for 1-2 hrs then try dropping the vcore until prime95 fails.
then upp the vcore 1-2 notches from the vcore that failed.then run blend
and see if you can do 1-2 hrs.then you can start lowering other voltages
tofind what you setup needs for 9x445@4005 ok ?

    I have a UD3P rev 1.1, Q9650 vid 1.25 V, 4x2gb of ram pc2-8000 5-5-5-15 2.0 V - 2.1 V ...

I would like to get to 4.2 ghz ...
My voltages are above ... what should I change?
    thanks

since your running 8GB of ram i would try this for 9x467@4203

    Motherboard Voltage Control
    Loadline Calibration.....................: enabled
CPU Vcore................1.250V*.........:1.35v you might need more or less
    CPU Termination......... 1.200V*.........:1.26v
    CPU PLL..................1.500V*.........:1.57v
    CPU Referen..............0.760V*.........:normal
    MCH/ICH
    MCH Core.................1.100V..........:1.36v
    MCH Reference............0.760V..........:normal
    MCH/DRAM Ref.............0.900V..........:normal
    ICH I/O..................1.500V..........:normal
    ICH Core.................1.100V..........:normal
    DRAM
DRAM Voltage.............1.800V..........:2.10v or whatever your ram needs
    DRAM Termination.........0.900V..........:normal
    Channel A Reference......0.900V..........:normal
    Channel B Reference......0.900V..........:normal

if this doesnt work we may need to find your optimal mch reference setting.
    keep us posted

Ok test your vooltaggi? but have a core mch so high, it is not perficoloso for the motherboard?
    processor holds with 1.325 v ... !
    thanks

its not too high for a quad core.after you get it somewhat stable we can then fine tune it
and start lowering voltages to the minimum needed ok?if your worried you can add a small 40mm fan over the NB heatsink.
i only needed one when i was doing 500fsb and higher with 1.40v-1.46v vNB.

septum ok like you said ... Try setting the ram to 2.0 v ...

I'm sorry but I do not know English well and I'm using the translator of google ...

Now set your voltages and text linx or prime95?

use prime 95 small fft's first to see if you vcore is high enough for that OC
keep an eye on your temps make sure you cooling is keeping up with the OC
if it run for 1hour then try lowering your vcore one notch and try again.
    P.S your english is fine.
