Question how do you get the evaps so polished and shinny again after you braze them?
They look like they have never been brazed![]()

Zero atmosphere oven is the easiest! No Oxygen, or you could spend time polishing !
Just after brazing - grinding using various sandpapers (dry), then 10 hours or more bath in "lemon acid" (quite strong mixture with water), then cleaning using steelwire brush mounted on driller , then wet grinding using sandpapers, then polishing.
@chispy: Yes, that 100 cm with black sleeve is Yours.

Hi i need some advice about Suction Lines, i will use Stainless Braided with Rubber Syntehtic PVC Hose, i will use it for my SS with r507, i have 2 Question, first if i braze the fittings the inside rubber hose wil burn o r break? and second ther r-507 an their Oil wil do some erosion in the rubber walls of my hose?
Thanks For yor Advice![]()
Forget about brazing any hoses which are built using any rubber part .
I recommend to use 100% stainless steel hoses (brazed, not screwed to evaporator) .

2 almost same suction lines - difference is only captube lenght. I must say that 100cm lenght and black sleeve seems to be "standart" suction line
.
Lenght of flex hose : 100 cm
Flex hose type : braided stainless DN10 (10 mm Inside diameter)
Evaporator : steeper type CPU, 42mm diameter, 41mm tall
Insulation : 18 mm thick + suction line sleeve black
Thanks for looking
Best Regards
Peter

which way goes the refrigerant in your evap?
did you braze the cap tube to the bottem that the refrigerant goes from the bottem of the evap through the spiral or steps up to the outlet.
or did you braze the cap tube to the top so that the refrigerant goes down through the spiral to the bottem and then it passes a small hole to the inner of the evap to go up into the suction line.

Thx Patrick, but I'm not SUCH stupid that I need such clear explanations.
Captube comes to bottom of evap, so it's bottom inlet.
Not so easy. You need brazing torch, vaccum pump, manifold, and some freon (r507
) to change suction line .
In those two were 300 cm and 350cm of 0.9mm but can be such long as You want.
THANKS!

If someone want I can only braze flex hose:
Lenght of flex hose : 100 cm
Flex hose type : braided stainless DN10 (10 mm Inside diameter)
Evaporator : -
Insulation : -
BTW every of mine suction lines are tested under 25 bara pressure in water bath.
One made for another polish builder:
Lenght of flex hose : 100 cm
Flex hose type : braided stainless DN10 (10 mm Inside diameter)
Evaporator : steeper type CPU, 42mm diameter, 41mm tall
Insulation : 18 mm thick + suction line sleeve black with white stripe (chilly1 style) .
Best Regards

3 new suction lines ... and new polishing quality (using machine)
1. Lenght of flex hose : 100 cm
Flex hose type : braided stainless DN10 (10 mm Inside diameter)
Evaporator : steeper type CPU, 42mm diameter, 41mm tall
Insulation : 18 mm thick + suction line sleeve blue
2. Lenght of flex hose : 80 cm
Flex hose type : braided stainless DN10 (10 mm Inside diameter)
Evaporator : steeper type CPU, 42mm diameter, 41mm tall
Insulation : 18 mm thick + suction line sleeve black
3. Lenght of flex hose : 86 cm
Flex hose type : braided stainless DN10 (10 mm Inside diameter)
Evaporator : steeper type CPU, 42mm diameter, 41mm tall
Insulation : WITHOUT insulation
And that's new polishing technique
With Best Christmas Wishes,
Peter

Nope it was no dig at you I just got very annoyed that I had a thread moved to the wanted section...and this thread is obviously a forsale type thread demonstrated the suctions lines you are selling.
I just want some consistency in the moving of threads![]()

Hi
GPU suction line & new 54mm steeper evaporator brazed:
1. Lenght of flex hose : 120 cm
Flex hose type : braided stainless DN10 (10 mm Inside diameter)
Evaporator : steeper type GPU, 42mm diameter, 20mm tall
Insulation : 18 mm thick (2 layers total) + suction line sleeve black
2. 54mm diameter/43mm tall steeper evaporator - mass is more than 65% higher than 42mm diameter evaporator.
Compared to 42mm:
Thanks
Regards
Peter
