I only wish I'd woken up earlier to hear this news. All suspicions were right, and suddenly the "unclean ATI fanboyszzz" prevail.
In all seriousness though, now having read yet more, this is pretty pathetic. Nvidia's incompetence at making a decent card, with a decent power envelope, in a decent timeframe is unbelievable.
And to think I used to (in the GeForce 4 -> 8800 series days) call myself a die-hard Nvidia fanboy.
At this point, if they can even release a high-leakage power monster that gets 20% better performance than an efficient ATI part I'll be amazed. Oh, and if it doesn't cost $1000.
