Right on. Figured there would be a .2 pretty soon. CPUZ hasn't been working very well for the last X58 and P55 chipsets. I've had to rely on the motherboard vendor's bundled software to validate and confirm some of the memory settings. Oh well, moving forward.

I've had different Core i5 750s on a UD3P and UD3R reaching 4GHz. Auto BIOS settings weren't so forgiving with the UD3, so I had to do a little tweaking.

Otherwise, the big overclocking difference between the UD3 and UD3P/UD3R/UD4P are the Phases. Auto settings favor those three and seem to like every 750 I've used so far.

    Hope this helps!
thanks T! Finally. cpu tweaker beta 1.4 worked too but you really need cpuz for the submissions. THis changed my life.
    TY!

ps just got the kingstons and the 660 today so Im just using the stock intel cooler and playing around on maximus III Ex cause I was too excited to get going. . I have the 540 in the ud6 I didnt feel like swapping out quite yet.
I got the H55M-S2H yesterday but it wont post for some reason. I really want to play with it.

Playing around some more today with the 660, put it on water. Am working on lowering vcore a bit but so far this is where I'm at with it. Just doing short Linx runs, its stable at 4600mhz 20+ passes. The sensor on core 2 is a bit buggy I think.

Put my 2x1gb of hyperx back in for 4700mhz, the 4gbkit requires more voltage. Still pretty happy with this.

OC nub,do you have LLC disabled? if so what do you need to set in bios
    to get 1.39v idle/1.37v load ?

Its set to LLC1, still has some droop but not a lot . The bios is set to 1.4225 I believe (just took the chip out so cant see it in et6), that gives it 1.392 idle. Any higher and it goes to 1.408 which is a hair above Intel spec, with the short history on these new chips I am afraid to do much testing above that.

Today Ive been trying to find the max stable bclk on this UD6 board. Looks like without going to high on VTT 220 is about the max. Just using short LinX runs for testing.

OC Nub,im surprised as this cheap H55M-UD2H that i got, im able to do 230 bclk with 1.29v qpi/vtt so far my goal is 237x19@4503 for the
memory performance boost, otherwise i think i might go crazy as to the low memory performance at lower bclk's.

radaja, Thats about all I could get it to boot at using a 12 multi and up to 1.4vtt, but that was with the i7 chip. I don't know what kind of difference I will see with the i5-660 if any.

hey OC Nud.do you happen to know if PCH voltage helps with high bclk? or is it strictly Qpi/Vtt voltage?
i'm having trouble stabilizing 237 bclk.im running 17x237 right now to try and get it stable to do my x19
run.but after an hour it fails during the 786fft's and i've raised my vdimm one notch and qpi one notch
but still it fail.19x234 worked fine, but its just this 237 thats wont prime all the way.

I went up to 1.120vPCH from 1.080v and it did help with stability for high clocks. Weather that was Bclk related or not I am not sure. PCH if I understand it correctly would be like MCH on a p45.

is it safe to use dynamic vid control when OCing?everytime i try using it it freaks me out when ET6 reports 1.516v in the voltage settings tab
but in the monitoring it shows correctso does cpuz and everest.mine only has either on or off,not type 1 and 2.i set my vcore to normal and
add or subtract the 0.625 increments.

I didn't like the dynamic vid control, I had problems with it. Another guy I know said he got random crashes even after passing many hours of stability testing. Dynamic vid feature is supposed to be used with the power savings features enabled.

what i dont understand is why i have to leave vcore at normal to work.
cant really use the subtracting dynamic vid settings,so whats the point
of being able to decrease it?i did notice that vcore doesnt jump as high
under load though, using dynamic vid control.

If you know your cpu requires 1.350vcore for say 4400mhz , and the vid on your chip is 1.200v, you would just add +0.150v to dynamic vid. I'm not sure why they even put the - voltage there.

    yep.right now im trying 1.13+0.125=1.255v for 21x200@4200.
because when i did it with the regular vcore and LLC enabled
it would either be 1.248 or 1.265v or 1.28v so im trying to find
the middle ground for my lowest vcore for 4.2

What did you come up with Mr. radaja?

I'm using the i5 661 off and on now to see what I come up with as well. I haven't seen much of a difference yet between the good 870 and 661 on here, except to say the 661 hits 4.4GHz a bit more easily.

once in Qflash click update from bios from drive
your usb stick will show up as HDD-1-0 click it
then you should see the bios file
